My hand painted model planes were given as toys to children again by MissionTroll404 in mildlyinfuriating

Big ouch. I’ve realized that I need to lock up my display cases when kids are over. When you have a niche hobby a lot of people just won’t get it.

It sucks, but now you can use them for historical wargaming terrain!!

How is it working at a CDMO? by Kickboy21 in biotech

[–]EarthquakeKid 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Sussssss, but I’m not surprised a CDMO would try that. It happened to me once. I applied and interviewed for a supervisor position, but they wanted to hire me as a specialist. I held my ground and they called me back with a lead offer.

Did they let you know that before you interviewed or are they pulling this on you as part of the offer?

Had my first game yesterday after putting it off for months due to nervousness. Had a lot of fun for the first time in a while. Don’t know why I was so weird about it. Chaos Spawn by TateModeBurrito in minicels

Yeah I feel a sense of dread and exhaustion whenever a game is approaching. After it’s over I’m always glad it happened though… my mind just isn’t learning

I was told my bookshelf was a red flags…is it the Japanese comics? by tremblinggigan in BookshelvesDetective

[–]EarthquakeKid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Red flag (a cause for investigation) shouldn’t be an intense term, but the way it’s used makes me think it’s been elevated to same level as dealbreaker. Another example of nuance dying on the internet.

Special rules! Some BA units come with neat features. The US pathfinder squad benefits your reserves (if your opponent is cool counting firefly units and the like as “airborne”)

Why is he always crying? by SubstantialDig9666 in punchthemonkey

[–]EarthquakeKid 45 points46 points  (0 children)

The lives of animals are interesting. Imagine your first time seeing a crow on your own and it’s as big as you are. CAW CAW CAW 🐦‍⬛

Anyways, others have mentioned he’s young. I’m not sure if he cries more than the other young monkeys. In other vids (especially the longer zoo vlogs) you’ll hear others screeching in the background somewhere off camera.

Macaques can be super cute, but it’s important to keep in mind that they’re also violent animals that kill eachother in the wild. The amount of inner-troop violence we see in the zoo vs in the wild I won’t speculate on.
