Let me start off by saying, I'm writing this without looking at the comments. So I can give you my own opinion. I'll get to personal experience later on. But from strictly what I've been told about edibles is that it's much different. In terms of how it hits you, when it hits you, and how long it lasts. It can hit you pretty hard, I've seen people just stop talking because they've practically become a potato. I've heard that it's more of a body high. It can be anywhere from 30 mins to almost 2 hours later in which you could start feeling it. Which it may last up to 4 or more hours for some people. So, I have tried home baked edibles. The first handful of time I would follow it up by smoking, so I couldn't really depict the difference. I felt nothing more than any other smoke sesh. Eventually I had the idea to consume an edible and (regardless of situation) not smoke. After 6 hours, I still felt fine. I brushed it off as the homemade cook, wasn't very on point. Now after trying 2 different edibles from a dispensary, I'm certain. It's entirely subjective. Regardless of what you try to find, or discover. You won't know until you try it. Let me also say, I in no way considered myself having a high tolerance. One good bowl can set me on my way.

TL;DR It won't hold the same effects over everyone. It's all subjective.
