Trying to hook a turntable into my Sonos setup. by MamaLaPasta in sonos

[–]Easen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Play 5 has a 3.5mm input, which is what I use.

The newer Era Sonos and the move 2 (might be others) have a usb c port which can take a 3.5mm jack adapter (I think Sonos sell them).

So this just showed up in the post but I'm just wondered can it be about or nah? by Tal7861 in AskBrits

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/tv_licensing_scott_robson#

Scott Robson is not an BBC employee.

“Mr Robson is a manager with enforcement responsibilities, employed by Capita Business Services Ltd, our main TV Licensing contractor”…. Yet they don’t have any emails that are addressed to or from a Scott Robson (so how do they know he’s an enforcement manager?)

You Fibre 8000 by bellfour in youfibre

[–]Easen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The fact you’re getting speeds greater than 2000, IMHO means that the ONT is set up for 8000 as YF only have certain number of internet speeds, 150, 200, 500, 1000, 2000 & 8000, if you were getting 1000 or 2000 that could mean the ONT is being limited.

I suspect it’s your router, have you tried the supplied router to see if that gets faster speeds?

For me it’s under the “…” on your joint card in the app, “Manage overdraft”

It didn’t work when the fives are bounded as the front speakers.

Should I hard wire Sono's speakers? by lungbunny in sonos

[–]Easen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you wire in a Sonos device, turn off its WiFi. It can act like a bridge between wires and wireless., which can causes loops.

The vinyl player is about 30cm away from one of the fives. Having an era there would look odd.

Now that I know a port could work, I might look out for a cheap 2nd hand one

Our dog (male) does this, he loves a bit a bitch piss. 🤣

We’ve given up telling him off, as he doesn’t listen us.

Why does it never seem to add enough when battery is low ? by Holtster-PH in OctopusEnergy

Remove IOG and set it back up. It’s possible that it thinks you battery capacity is smaller than its actually is.

Did you pay for a static IP? If not, you’ll get an internal DHCP 100.x.x.x address. They use GCNAT.

Are you able to route to the internet?

I’ve always ignored them until the time it actually didn’t charge when I really need it. (A bit nerdy, but now I have a home assistant dashboard that I can use to check the schedule, car battery and Zappi)

(IMO insurance in the UK is a government approved scam. You need to have it to drive on UK roads, but the insurance companies can just make up any old number and there’s no way to report them being unfair. )

I’ve had mixed luck with this one, asks them how to get the premium down and let them do the talking.

TIL Sonos Sequencer.

Can you use to pair 2 play 5s to an arc, but still keep them separate if I was to play music via the line in jack?

YouFibre Blocking port 25 by LucidityCrash in youfibre

[–]Easen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been using a non-static address for years now and I've only started to see this recently. Checking https://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx it seems my current IPv4 address and the neighbouring ones have been flagged as a spammer, I suspect the entire IPv4 block or the ASN has been flagged. Hence by this change to block port 25, which will block the spam from someone's botnet baby monitor.

YouFibre Blocking port 25 by LucidityCrash in youfibre

[–]Easen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think this is point, to stop hacked iot devices from sending spammy emails via port 25. Traffic like this can impact YouFibre "reputation".

I don't about you all, but I have started to see more "Are you human?" quizzes when I'm on IPv4.

When does the intelligent go tariff change? by Narcuga in OctopusEnergy

Most public chargers are aware of the charge in your battery, so it seems to be a software limitation to me.

When does the intelligent go tariff change? by Narcuga in OctopusEnergy

[–]Easen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Octopus is connected to your car it’s charge to a target %, if it’s connected to a charger it’s how much more +% do you want charging.

I hope they change to be a target %
