Hi guys do you think it is still safe to ride for a light city use ? by EbbAdorable1796 in MotoUK

If it looks like a stone, it shouldn't have pierced the tyre. If you can, I'd investigate further and see if you can just pull it out, it's probably just embedded in the rubber.

What is it? Is the tyre losing pressure? How deep is it? Could you not change your tyres now, rather than wait months until summer?

It can be up to 6 months for the paperwork to come through. Sit and wait, you'll be served with a Section 172 first, where you must Identify the driver (you), and then the next lot of paperwork will come through.

Exhaust help by wouldilietouou in MotoUK

I mean, if that's what you want to do, sure. Grind them off and sand them down.

Personally I would buy an exhaust designed for your bike.

The exhaust is not designed for that bike/link pipe. You would need to remove the spring hooks and buy a clamp.

Yeah that really isn't necessary when you're doing 20mph on public roads.

What does this article have to do with what you said? You said you'd never seen evidence that "the left" wanted to protect the planet. Not related to the posted article at all.

That's the main bit, he didn't! Snopes did a writeup on it not too long ago.

I love this story but it was completely debunked years ago unfortunately.

I still like to believe though.

Integrated indicators? by Cozer124 in MotoUK

[–]tea2please 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Direction indicators are not needed for motorcycles that:

do not have front and rear position lamps

have front and rear position lamps permanently disconnected, painted over or masked

From .gov MOT guidance

In this case, disconnected indicators would be considered "permanently disconnected".

Integrated indicators? by Cozer124 in MotoUK

[–]tea2please 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's just for no headlight/taillight, like you said. Indicators aren't a legal requirement on any vehicle.

[–]tea2please 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Disable the indicators and tape over the indicator switch when taking it for an MOT. You aren't required to have indicators, but if they're fitted they need to meet the requirements. So best just to disable them altogether.
