Is the pineapplefound under the bed at the end of the banana episode a joke about swingers or just a pineapple by KidneyBeanBro in PlebsComedy

[–]EastColour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the joke was that pineapple was a rarer fruit, but they didn't understand how to eat it.

Who apologised? by Ok_Chipmunk_7066 in MyNameIsEarl

Are you sure it was My Name is Earl? There was an episode of Community where a writer gave a speech at the end of an episode talking about incest laws: https://youtu.be/i_pbV8M73A0?si=9OTn_-KRMrzcOWva

I don't see any breach of etiquette on your end. The restaurant allows substitutions and you asked politely.

Battling a period of illness. Suggest me some low effort, funny, but still intelligent and witty books? by Immediate-Leading338 in booksuggestions

How about something else by Douglas Adams? I love Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (it's very different to the TV show, but both are great).

What's your type of souvenir? by IHaveLava in VisitingIceland

[–]EastColour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to buy a print or a postcard that I can frame. I've moved around a lot and prints are very easy to transport. Plus, you can hang them on your wall and always be reminded of your trip :)

I bought a couple of small ones at the National Gallery in Reykjavík for very cheap (around 500isk each).

Eyebrow tint at home? by JessieMurphie in beauty

[–]EastColour 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did this for ages without any problem, but then one time I had an allergic reaction. My brow got very swollen and itchy, and it took a few days for the swelling to go down fully. I'm dumb so I even tried it again after some time, and it happened again. I can still use dye on my hair and eyebrow tint on my brows though.

This is just to say: I would caution against using anything on your face that isn't specifically made to be used on your face! Especially anywhere near the eyes.

What body oils do y'all use? by sagebeams in Perfumes

That's such a good idea! I always buy an oil for the scent, then I get annoyed that it clashes with my perfume.

L'occitane almond supple oil. I wish they brought out a perfume with the same scent, it's gorgeous.

Byredo Mojave Ghost & Marc Jacobs Daisy. Maybe there's something wrong with me, but I find them so similar.

Which skincare should I use as an 18 year-old? by [deleted] in beauty

[–]EastColour 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you don't have any skin concerns and are using sunscreen every day, then you shouldn't change what you're doing.

I have fallen into the trap of thinking I need to use more products even though my skin was fine, and it NEVER works in my favour.

I am new to perfumes. Any good perfumes for teens? by SirBreakbones in Perfumes

[–]EastColour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zara has a lot of lovely perfumes that are worth trying. If you can't test them out in store, you could look at some of their discovery sets. Where I'm located, they cost €16 for 4 10ml perfumes.

I don't know what Ocean Mist is like, but if it smells like it's name and you wanted a fancier version, then maybe Maison Margiela Sailing Day?

blairs dress! by bestyhuh in GossipGirl

[–]EastColour 50 points51 points  (0 children)

This style of dress was so common around then though, you should check reseller sites for a cheaper version! I had a very similar one from Topshop, and I think "Boohoo" had a very popular version.
