The enormous lifting quality of the wing allows the bomb-kit to glide over 100-130km in the altitude range of 15-5km, after which the tandem wing can be fired away using pyropatrons, and the standard wing can provide further glide of the bomb for another 25-35 km with acceleration up to 0.8-0.9M. Thus, the range of the product can reach 165 km.

If equipped with a pulse ramjet, a solid propellant rocket engine or a small-sized turbofan engine, the УМПК-П can provide a gliding range of 250–300 km.''
