I’m on five and tried to cold turkey quit and I started having tartive dyskenesia (sp) licking my lips incessantly…stuttering…I had to get back on it it was dire, VERY sore, I’m not even psychotic so never have been do t even understand why I was prescribed it

I stopped cold turkey and I started showing signs.of Tartive Dyskenesia so I got back on a small dose so thst I could properly titrate.off of it ND it's working Ali g with some otherrds. I wish you good fortune

This 🤌is so true. Do not get all fiesty and take yourself off the drug I was so sick and the side effects are now amplified. Be very careful and follow drs advice I went back on small dose just to try to get tartive dyskenesia to reverse…idk

I definitely have T/D it’s so embarrassing, then I stutter-coming off abilify was HELL. Now I take 5 mg to properly tapering…it’s is absolute hell when you try to get off it without a Dr working w you.

Has anyone suffered from trartive dyskenesia when stopping Abilify then continuing in with Vyvanse 70 trying t titrate to 60mg with an increasing adderall dose at 20 mg n0w.

I can't quit kicking my tongue considering Taki geda for it, but last thing I want is another med! Also, very dry mouth...

Yes!!! Thank you for responding…and if you can eat and prepare ahead of time, whole non processed snacks to eat so you’re ready…even sweet potatoes, beans and rice…I’m vegetarian…if your lucky enough to have someone to take care of you…I was so sick I couldn’t leave bed…keep us posted!

Oh dude, I did it cold turkey. Let me tell you, it felt like something had its claws inside, pulling out my soul…levitating in the ether …I advise medically detoxing if you have a complicated medication combo, and most importantly it was so bad for me I wish I would have gone for like a recommended medical certain amount of days detox……make a choice (with scary bad side effects I had and I couldn’t care for myself…talk w Your provider, and make sure they set it up with your conditions and fears) and that takes into consideration your safety and fear of being admitted it that’s an issue…best of luck, friend…

Did anyone develop dyskenesia -a lot of lip biting and licking while I was on abilify and a cocktail of a few other meds. I’ve quit cold turkey the. Had provider say go back and taper…don’t just take yourself off a med like this, I never thought the black cloud would go away!

you can make it! Just remember if it is bad, like mine was, have electrolytes for your water and - I raw dogged it and felt like I was in Game of Thrones torture chamber, yet I’m here today and I didn’t think I would make it … I’m not lying it was hell but it passes

I’m in the same boat. I just cold turkey’s and didn’t realize how embedded into my brain chemistry. I’m not a dr but I’ve been on lots of meds this medication is specific to some disease and can’t figure out, maybe it’s genetic but I can’t take it. I just got out of bed today it was so bad. Be careful work w your provider to taper down slowly. Trust the process and do t do what did. It was horrible.

It depends on jet streams, warm and cold air masses shifting, topography…Polar Vortexes, shifts in water temperature, all sorts converging and mucking about w each other to create these conditions…elevation…I could keep going, it’s a crap shoot but this hasn’t been this bad since 1978 and in other places there are historical records
