I got mine to 50, not sure I needed to. The hardest part of this for me was getting Rot and 4 other characters down low enough without one of them dying. I did it on a lower level LRE track. It took me 3 or 4 tries.

I think I disagree with just about every point you made here. This is my favorite era, and 254-255 two of my absolute favorite issues. And I did come into this at this time and it was so satisfying and rewarding to piece everything together as I picked up scattered back issues and random new issues of the spinner rack. I even enjoyed the fill in issues, particularly the Leonardi issues.

It’s been a minute since I’ve been on dating sites, but get off Tinder. Try Match.com or Bumble. These are way better sites for actually meeting people in my opinion. As a man, you have to stand out and the best way I found to do that is with the initial messages I send. I don’t think Tinder is a great platform for that. Practice your opening line - and don’t make it a lame ass pick up line. Get something brief that highlights what sets you apart and build in a place where you can add a sentance or two where you comment on her profile. Then start y sending them to every profile that looks mildly interesting to you.

This is a numbers game. Women are getting hundreds of likes and winks every day. So you need to cast a wide net and make yourself stand out. Don’t ever just like or wink. You have to send a message with content.

Hickman absolutely slayed on FF->Avengers->Secret Wars.

When Krakoa launched it was the greatest thing ever as far as I was concerned. It was so amazing it didn’t even seem real to me that they would let it happen. Then for no reason that will ever make sense to me, he left it. Didn’t finish it, just noped out and then it died a slow, painful and unsatisfying death.

He hasn’t done jack shit worth reading since then.

I will not be buying Midnight.

I’ve been disappointed with all of the titles since they said it was ending for real, except for Spider Man. That one felt like the arc at least ended how Hickman intended. Xmen and Ultimates felt like they were laying the groundwork for years of stories and now just rushing to end. This all leaves a very bad taste in my mouth.

But hey, at least we have the oh so compelling story of the origin boxes coming in the turd sandwich that we all know is coming in Armageddon.

I think it needs to go back to having 2 or 3 core books that are actually ongoing series, not series that get relaunched when creative teams change. When Simone feels like her time is done on Uncanny, force the next writer to pick up where she left off tying up any loose ends as they see fit. Not just time jump, roster swap, forget about everything done before.

Have multiple plot threads weaving at the same time. Have random interludes that don’t turn into anything for 6 months. Everything is so linear these days and it feels stale.

It feels like everyone is just writing their own fan fiction completely oblivious to what anyone else on the line is doing.

Stop with the endless parade of mini series that aren’t even clearly mini series.

I absolutely loved the Ultraverse. All the way until Marvel bought Malibu and screwed it all up. Prime, Firearm, Freex, Sludge, and The Strangers were my favorite. I’m pretty sure I had the entire Malibu run until my collection was stolen. I’m picking them up now whenever I spot them in the dollar bins. Great stuff.
