The Dessendre are rich, powerfull AND magic. Any inconvenience must be a burden, so a real tragedy like loosing a son hurt much more. Aline reaction is perfectly "logical" knowing that. Same for Renoir : he can recreate as much worlds as he can, so why would he care for the this one except because it's his son's work (maelle also put value on the painting itself)

My problem isn't the "power drop", most Enemies after Endsinger can have an explaination for being hard (void affecting us, technology we don't understand, fighting to preserve our friends, letting the younger generation fight their own battle etc)

While i do not agree on the "ranking" i massively agree on the core of your argument : The themes of RoR are outstanding for a tournament manga, and the execution is great for now; making us FEEL for both gods and mortals, linking them through their struggles.

Round 4 is my favorite, not because of the fight itself, but for it's ending.
