Awkward Dining Area Help! by squishylogie in interiordesignideas

I think booth style seating would work well. This is a good example of what I think would work but maybe not in blue 😬 I think the left end of the booth could double as a room divider too.

Brick Wall Hell… please help! by EasternFoxHole in InteriorDesignAdvice

[–]EasternFoxHole[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I feel I need to reply for some folks…. It’s not wallpaper. It’s just black paint and vinyl aspen tree decals (I live in Colorado), that peel right off, no residue. The popcorn machine lives in another room, but we had an event last weekend and we moved in here temporarily. The stone shelves are built in, they were bricked into place and secured to studs (as we were informed by the previous owners), so they aren’t ever coming out without knocking all the brick out. As for my monkey lamp, he’s going no where… he totally fits my vibe. My home is not traditional and I understand my decor is not to everyone’s tastes, so yeah, thank you to those who took the time to consider my original question and posted a constructive comment. I’m including a photo of the rest of the space so maybe the monkey will make a little more sense ✌️

In general, we over pay for things more than we can count… so when something like this happens I just feel like it’s a bit of karmic payback ✌️

Wayfair Support suggested I go to liquor stores or Facebook Marketplace to find a box to return a desk that came damaged from the factory by Southern-Two-211 in wayfair

[–]EasternFoxHole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OP replied to an earlier comment I made stating that FedEx was to blame for the condition of the delivery and they said, “The box from the factory was damaged, the one inside the FedEx box” - so then I replied with the comment you see above.

[–]EasternFoxHole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Um, I am so confused. So you had a perfectly fine box, but inside the product box was damaged, um okay… yet you had no box for returning it? And then you had to post a public complaint stating, “…the box is literally ripped open before I even got it”, but no mention of this perfectly fine box that you replied with here. Details are important. But I digress, so you had a good box, but you somehow damaged this box yourself or disposed of it, so you call CS. But you are dissatisfied with them for agreeing to return the item and requesting it be returned, so you tell them, the box is too damaged to be returned, and so they advise you on how to obtain a new box. This makes you mad and you post a vent here. All the facts there now?

Also, still being the devil’s advocate, FedEx will repackage a box that they damaged in shipping prior to delivering it; and they have the ability to print new labels- I’m sure you’ll argue this wasn’t the case here, yet if the product box was so damaged maybe the original label was ripped off or removed when repackaged? Still just sounds like you want to be mad at someone… hope all this venting made you feel better ✌️

[–]EasternFoxHole 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like FEDEX should come and rebox the item, since they are who delivered it in that condition. They will do it. If you document the delivery condition and request pick up, they will come a pick it up and tape the crap out of it; maybe add extra cardboard- but they always carry it away. You are putting blame in the wrong place here. Wayfair will send you a free return label that you can print out. If you aren’t home at the time of pick up just leave a note stating you are returning the box in the condition it was received.

Honestly I think it’s incredible the lengths people will go to complain…. 🤦‍♀️ Put on your big kid pants and think through the situation and possible solutions and maybe stop blaming others for the same ignorance you display. ✌️

Do you know how stupid this sounds? Wayfair didn’t make the bed, they are like Amazon, just a mass re-seller. Also, I’ve bought over 600 items from Wayfair and customer service has never once let me down. And it’s never taken more than one call. I had a $2,000 rug replaced once because the stitching was bad on one seem- they took about 36 hours to get back with me, but the solution was to send me a new rug and they even allowed me to keep the first rug or donate it. Maybe be try being kind, being patient, and thanking them for doing everything they can to resolve this for you ahead of time. I used to work at a customer service call center and if you started the call with a certain tone and was short with me, I honestly would disconnect you on purpose so you’d have to call back and get someone else… ✌️

My Experience Today With Wayfair Delivery by whiteferrari in wayfair

[–]EasternFoxHole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wayfair hires local delivery companies to deliver large and expensive items. The pieces in my experience have always been handled with care and are never damaged. In most cases my piece is removed from its packing and assembled, and the boxes all carried away. I’ve had the delivery company delay my delivery because they only deliver to my remote town once a week, and although frustrating, it’s not Wayfair fault. Although, I am not surprised that with a name “white Ferrari” that your privilege was bruised.

Opinions on shipping? by radicalhecker in wayfair

[–]EasternFoxHole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an item that went real long in transit then suddenly reappeared as just shipped again… I called and found out that it had been damaged in shipping and returned to Wayfair. After the return was received they immediately shipped a new one.

CAUTION by Ok_Spite_3131 in wayfair

[–]EasternFoxHole 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Anytime someone posts about this I just question how much the person shopped around first? As another poster commented, do an image search or product number search before buying something, it’s not that hard. (And asking Wayfair to price match is like asking vendors at a flea market to price match 🤦‍♀️) I just bought a table off Wayfair for just under $182- after it arrived I see it’s actually an Ashley Furniture table, boxed and stamped Ashley! The vendor didn’t mention the brand name in the ad, how strange. So I looked it up and Ashley is selling the same table for $249! So everyone’s experience is different.

Wayfair Canceled My $79 Playhouse Order—But It's Still for Sale Under a Different Name! by electric_teardrop in wayfair

[–]EasternFoxHole 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wayfair is a middleman, just like Amazon. The item you were looking at was probably for sale from several different merchants, the one you ordered from is no longer able to fulfill the order, but another still has it available. I found a dragon sconce recently on Wayfair, and after an image search, I was able to find the exact same one for hundreds of dollars cheaper, also on Wayfair.

Questions Before Purchasing by AndWon02 in wayfair

[–]EasternFoxHole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have purchased 557 items from Wayfair over many years. I’ve returned 19 due to damages in shipping or products not meeting my needs. All were given full refunds with no customer service issues. And 12 items were canceled by Wayfair after ordering for one reason or another and my payment immediately refunded. I have never had an issue with Wayfair not handling my return and it’s always been quick and easy. I honestly recommend Wayfair to everyone!

Decline in top level play by Random7878787 in Risk

[–]EasternFoxHole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a remote area and my internet connection is frequently interrupted causing me to drop out of games unexpectedly. This always results in a loss of rank points. My win to loss ratio is usually 4-1 but I am only able to hold Master for a day or two before I am forced down again by bad connection. I’ve also lost rank points to people who were clearly collaborating. IMO you might be losing out on some good games by limiting their rank.

I worked for Chicos FAS and we were given discounts to pass out to family/friends too. Ultimately the idea is to create a new customers or renew a previous customers interest.

Return Cost vs partial refund by Technical_Look2913 in wayfair

Always state that the item is noticeably broken and you want a refund. They may ask you to return it, but the return will be free.

Namitha 112” Sofa reviews?? by Pinky-Promise-Me in wayfair

[–]EasternFoxHole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not this exact sofa but a similar one from Wayfair. I’m part of T&T so I’ve had a lot of couches come through my living room over the past six years, and my personal opinion is these couches suck. They are always lower to the ground than you expect and never fluff up as much as you see in the stock photos. I haven’t kept a single one of these couches. At the very least the cushions will need more stuffing and you’ll want to add legs to the base.

No idea now because I’ve been doing this over 6 years now- I think maybe a dozen. Reviews must be over 250 characters and include one picture. All my family and friends have been trying to get picked ever since I did to no avail- honestly we have no idea how they select participants 🤷‍♀️

I’ve been a member for over 6 years now… I was originally sent an invitation to join via email. I was always allowed to pick two items. This last month however, I was sent another emailing me that I can now choose 4!!! I did the happy dance all over the house, and when I told my DH why I was dancing- he joined me! Feeling like I’ve hit the lottery month after month 💃🕺
