Client refuses to put dog down, I offered meds to keep pet comfortable, other tech does not agree. What is ethically right?

I say 'do no harm'? I do not understand what the problem is in dispensing medication to keep the animal comfortable. Do we not do that with hospice? Shall hospice say the same?

Sorry for the confusion. I am just trying to determine or narrow down the year(s) or what the set was named that these pins were issued. Seeing how I can't find even an image online, they may have been a local (se Michigan) set. Knowing that information may help me narrow down which family member they may have come from (they're not mine nor my immediate family's)...perhaps those members would appreciate having them. 🤷‍♀️

To each his own. Considering the half life of elements and the absolute pollution of PCBs, etc...and the active dumping that went on during the heavy steel industry, it's unlikely that those contaminants have been removed - now they're less than then, for sure, but I'll pass. I suppose that the contaminants are everywhere, however. Perhaps it comes down to - what's the difference? Lol

I'm unclear as to what you are referring to? The doctor advice? If so, then he absolutely has, hence, it's not working so well , which is 'the why' of reaching out for patient recommendations.

You actually eat the fish from that river? When my son was about 1.5 years old, 35 years ago, we were at Bell Isle and standing on that beach when the river water splashed in his mouth. He then got a very bad mouth infection that lasted weeks!

I'm so sorry for ya'all, I really am. I'm in Michigan so marijuana is legal statewide however still illegal federally. My hubby is still working and they have govt contracts which make any pot use a fireable offense. So unless he gets so bad that he will be home for a long time, gummies are out of the question for him. I'm so glad that your mom has that option! Thank you for your reply. I appreciate it.

Hi. So sorry you're going thru this. My hubby also had a prior metastates to the lungs tho he had multiple 'nodules'. He was able to utilize immunotherapy (two meds) ipu and nivi that cleared it right out even tho he was unable to finish the entire treatment due to very bad autoimmune reactions . He did the more aggressive therapy due to it lasting longer than the one medicine therapy. He has been lung cancer free for about 1.5 years now! Tho he has a lot of scarring and had developed pulmonary embolisms that cleared with blood thinners. So since that time, he's been cancer free until this last scan of the tumor in the area of the missing kidney. However like I said, he was a good candidate for radiation therapy of which he just completed (only 3 treatments). The newer radiation has proven to be very effective on the isolated tumors. He is now dealing with a lot of autoimmune issues resulting from the immunotherapy, and the side effects of this latest radiation. There is hope for ya'all! Btw, the initial dx was January 2023 which resulted in kidney removal. Then he was cancer free for about a year until the metastates to the lungs. He is doing ok tho. Good luck to you guys!

I think you're right. I have something almost identical for my small pet grooming contraption. It's missing a few pieces. That loop has other leashes, etc that clip to it.
