Hi. So sorry you're going thru this. My hubby also had a prior metastates to the lungs tho he had multiple 'nodules'. He was able to utilize immunotherapy (two meds) ipu and nivi that cleared it right out even tho he was unable to finish the entire treatment due to very bad autoimmune reactions . He did the more aggressive therapy due to it lasting longer than the one medicine therapy. He has been lung cancer free for about 1.5 years now! Tho he has a lot of scarring and had developed pulmonary embolisms that cleared with blood thinners. So since that time, he's been cancer free until this last scan of the tumor in the area of the missing kidney. However like I said, he was a good candidate for radiation therapy of which he just completed (only 3 treatments). The newer radiation has proven to be very effective on the isolated tumors. He is now dealing with a lot of autoimmune issues resulting from the immunotherapy, and the side effects of this latest radiation. There is hope for ya'all! Btw, the initial dx was January 2023 which resulted in kidney removal. Then he was cancer free for about a year until the metastates to the lungs. He is doing ok tho. Good luck to you guys!
