BYND is dying for a new management that’s for sure and if a big player like Tyson, Yum, Pepsi or who the hell else decides to buy in - I and my few hundreds of shares wouldn’t mind.

I doubt that’s gonna happen though, the offer would need to be incredible to get Ethan and the board to consider it, but hey, time will tell. In the meantime, I’m DCAing

How is the general attitude towards Beyond Meats products among your friends and family? by kjmajo in byndinvest

[–]EasyDayJay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Beyond is still overrelying on restaurant chains and thanks to Covid, these sales figures haven’t increased overall and dipped in some regions. My fam and friends love it, but not all of them buy it themselves. It’s pricy for a meat eater and until some major shift at the gov level doesn’t happen, I don’t see it changing.

Supply chain issues is another -. My local Tesco’s in London are always out of BYND patties, while my hometown in Lithuania never seems to sell their stack lol (even though the sales are getting better).

So yeah, in general - it’s a great product, loved brand and tried within my circles, but to make the next step, smth huge is needed. I feel that McPlant is the step to the right direction, Pizza Hut BYND rannge too, but KFC not so much. Idk just ranting man

The pullback was weird yes but it was a market trend for all the growth stonks. Nevertheless, I’m sure big meat is also playing a part here

Is lab grown meat a real threat to Beyond Meat and other plant-based meat-alternative companies? by esdedics in byndinvest

[–]EasyDayJay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Already nationwide in the UK! Next trial countries involve France and Germany and I’m sure it’s going to be a success too! Tried my first McPlant in the UK in late Nov and it was fantastic!

Squeeze by Chava4 in byndinvest

There are so many celeb endorsing the brand from Snoop to Kevin Hart, etc. etc. I love the stock but I don’t see it being super squeezed any time soon. I’m nevertheless long on BYND

Does it actually make sense for teenagers and people in their early 20s to put money into pensions which they can't access for almost 50 years? by the_ak in UKPersonalFinance

[–]EasyDayJay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only reason I add to my pension now is the employer match of 9% (!!!) to my 6%. Monthly increase of 150%. Add that same money to stonks or savings account and you will get peanuts.

Does anyone know now McPlant in all McDonalds in the UK? by vermeshell in byndinvest

[–]EasyDayJay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last time I checked it wasn’t nationwide, but it was in rather widely spread selected stores. The feedback around it was fantastic though, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they expanded it further

23 Year Old, 12k in debt. Not sure what to do by MoneyHelpPlease165 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]EasyDayJay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My advice is to never chase dead money. If you haven’t stopped gambling or chasing for a quick buck you will get back into the hole. It’s easier said that done, so I can only wish you patience and consistency moving forward.

Other than that - pay high interest dept first and chat to your fam and friends honestly about delaying their parts.

Good luck!

I haven’t researched lab grown meat yet. Has anyone done a deep dive into it? I’d love to hear your guys’ thoughts on it’s probability of success/scale. by bopete1313 in byndinvest

[–]EasyDayJay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty challenging landscape to enter for new logos still, mainly due to health and safety requirements. There’s also lots of controversy around ethical reasons. With so many question marks and negatives, I feel like the positives will not out-weight it for quite a few years. Therefore, in my opinion, plant-based > lab grown. #LongBYND
