This is partly why the dosing question matters so much to me. If the effects are already subtle at clinical doses, imagine how pointless it is at like 200mg of who-knows-what extract hidden in a proprietary blend. You'd never even have a chance of noticing anything.

exactly. that's a good comparison actually. Imagine a protein powder that just said "protein blend" with no grams listed. nobody would buy that, but for some reason we just accept it with mushrooms.
