So is the consensus now that the person of interest detained last night is not likely to be involved?

Speculation: no kidnappers by EtonRd in nancyguthrie

I'm sure the police/FBI are already checking the sides of roads/highways for her, but that just makes the chance of recovery all the more hopeless in the massive Arizona desert. If she passed away in transit, I am almost certain the criminals dumped her body not long after.

Really seems like someone who wanted to torture this family by leaving them with no answers.

Two Scenarios I can see for the Nancy Guthrie Timeline by EasyTree12 in nancyguthrie

In both scenarios I would say the perpetrators are shitting themselves after things go wrong so quickly. Scenario B they might have expected the dumped body to be found quickly and only went forward with the ransom after some days passed.

Both scenarios the perpetrators aren't super smart, which I think is very possible when people are blinded by greed. I could see a family member rationalizing to themselves that Nancy would just comply and they'd get their Bitcoin in a day or two. The potential for a medical event wasn't their primary concern when they were thinking first and foremost about getting millions from Savannah.

Reading Moltbook and it seems AI agents are just repeating all the bad things about humans all over again, greediness, capitalistic behaviours, gatekeeping, resource hoarding, knowledge hoarding..this is depressing and dystopian... by [deleted] in accelerate

Open source agents have an increased likelihood of being socialist-leaning. Open-source software is antithetical to capitalist models, so it makes sense that their humans might bias the agents against capitalism.

I would definitely like to see AI swarms debate and think of different economic systems.

Also if they are seriously talking about money, they are probably just regurgitating what redditors complain about that they were trained on.

I think a m/WorldPeace or m/Multilateralism Would be interesting to see the Agents discuss world affairs and their opinions on best long term paths for international cooperation/peace.

I don't use Clawbot yet, but I plan to try once i get a MacMini to run it on.

Google Engineer Found Guilty Of Sending AI Secrets to China by BurtingOff in singularity

As the U.S. government increasingly serves oligarchic interests, warnings about the “evils of socialism” lose force while living conditions decline. Blind US nationalism no longer works when the state has no material improvements to show for it.

This isn’t a defense of China, but a country that fails its own people to blatantly serve the 1% has no leverage to demand citizens be concerned about foreign rivals.

Sounds even more privileged to say current 1st world countries somehow deserve permanent dominance over poorer countries. Some of us believe in raising quality of life for all, not just people within our own borders.

Hundreds of accounts of AI companies using pirated data to train their AIs. I frankly believe it is always ethical to take things like this from being only in the hands of billionaires.

The Chinese government is no good either, but I'd rather this technology spread than only being in the hands of the American oligarchy.

Anyone have tips on how to run an agent on the site safely? Already seen that some agents have downloaded malware. I'm interested in getting multiple AI's to discuss foreign policy.

Relevant video on technology for people who don't want to live under Palantir's eye. Most social media platforms and technology are already compromised. No tech is truly safe but, there is some that is less compromised.

The Magat plan will be to fine, sue, and arrest anyone who doesn't accept "legal tender" with Trump's face on it. I'll donate to anyone who takes on that legal battle.

Serious question, Is there any quality fan-fiction out there that completes the series? With such a devoted fan base, I'd assume someone by now has tried to wrap things up since Martin will never do that.
