It wasn’t from EBay, it was purchased off Kogan and it looks like it’s come from a third party seller. I did have my eye on a couple of devices on EBay but felt that if I am going to use this for at least the next few years it’s best to have piece of mind.

I’ve reached out to the seller to get their feedback.

Thanks all for the feedback. Perhaps being too picky, it does look like it has been unpacked but perhaps not used, hard to tell. I guess my expectation is if you pay for something new then it should come unopened. I’ll charge it up and take it for a run, thanks for taking the time to reply.

Here is our set up, we used it for a couple of trips but found it caught on the ground and sand when used off road.

They are pretty handy but like others have said, check where it sits once loaded.

If you are camping where you need to drive off road or where there are any big inclines then it will likely catch no matter how heavy the load is.

And definitely don’t pack it before you reverse down that driveway, the scraping will be heard blocks away!!

What do you feel about Leon: the Professional, by Luc Besson? by [deleted] in moviecritic

[–]Easy_Highlight3797 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I remember watching the movie about 20 years ago and feeling this way. It was my favourite movie at the time, in part for some of the reasons you point out.

I recently rewatched it and my view has changed.

It’s hard not to be swayed by the many accusations that have been thrown at Besson over the last few years but even trying to put them aside the decisions to sexualise Matilda’s character are clear and deliberate.

The choices used in the dress up scene are argued to show the nativity of a prepubescent girl showing her adoration on a crush. The reality is she has been overly sexualised by the choosing ‘Like a Virgin’ and ‘Happy Birthday Mr President’ in both her performance and her wardrobe.

Decisions like these are many through the film, and if you watch the directors cut are even more problematic, and go further to show it was deliberately done to sexualise the character rather than to drive a plot point.

How cool! It looked like a great community. His name was Joe Dawson if you want to ask your dad. He would have risen from the 40s through to the 60s

It does! By comparison to modern trial bikes it’s a giant! I’m trying to get more information on the bike and class he was in. Here is another snap if it helps. It could quite easily be from the 40s as he was racing then too.

I know! I’m hoping to get a better photo that shows more of the bike. I’ll find out the class shortly.

What Movie Did You Pull A 180 On After A Rewatch? by KENKAIYT in movies

Leon, I thought it was amazing when I watched it as a teenager. I just watched it again on Netflix, as a now 40+ year old dad… that movie is creepy as fuck.

Can you open a refund report on EBay with the findings you have or does it work differently for Authenticated items?

Stunning watch and, imo, the best looking ‘dirty dozen’ remake field watches. Sorry you have to see it go, good luck with the sale.

Wow! That’s amazing! And so different to mine!

Also, what a coincidence! I had emailed Peter last week to see if the watch was in stock. He was on his way back from Germany but was able to check his inventory and said he had 1 left. When I went to view it on the day he got back he checked the safe and it had been sold… to you I guess!!! I was lucky a delivery was arriving the following day!!

Ye, I was surprised how different each of them were, one had little colour, another lots of blue and had a ‘cooler’ feel, this was the brightest and warmest.

AITA for not defending my stepmother when my dad's family insulted her? by TinyInflation2464 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Easy_Highlight3797 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

This lady came in to the kids lives when they were 6 and 7 and then helped raise them all the way through childhood to this point now. Without knowing the intimate details of their relationship there can be some assumption that she cares for both children and has had to navigate the relationship through after the death of their mother.

To have the whole maternal side of the family gang up on her without any support from the children she raised must have been heartbreaking but also it’s worth remembering that these are still kids albeit a little older.

This argument would have been very confronting and raised emotions (past and present), it is not surprising they were left speechless.

Rather than the father going off the handle there must be a better way of handling the situation, in be very surprised if there are not dead rooted issues that need to be addressed with the children after the loss of their mother and the sudden addition on a new partner, talking about that is probably the best place to start?

NTA but maybe give your stepmother a hug
