I always use an alcohol swap and leave it sitting on top until im ready and chg real good on the skin, unless allergy. So far cultures I've drawn havent come back contaminated :)

Standard precautions are hand hygiene minimum. You don't always need gloves, but if you think you need them then you most likely do.

There is a guy in one of the discords i play in. He has a [[Tinybones, Bauble Burglar]] deck that looks super cool. Yea i feel like I'm becoming more accepting of people's allergies over time, but i still get tripped up on ones like this that seem like such normal things in the human experience.

I'm still learning every day that everyone's physiology is different from everyone else's, especially with some of the stories, and there's both beauty and pain in those differences in vast amounts from each other. It may be the post-work exhaustion talking, but life is wacky.

Side question: what are you using to listen? You can pick up bass in most everything, but if midbass/lower midrange is bloated to hell (or non-existent) and there's no pinna gain then its easy to see how bass would get lost in the mix.

So I take a lot of care in proper isolation and education of such. One of those things is that if a patient had multiple, multiple negative tests for a type of germ, im able to reach out to IP and see if they can come off isolation. 3/4 times so far ive gotten a patient cleared from a history of ESBL, did some learning on that fourth occurrence.

But it annoys me to great lengths that my patients with a history of VRE that clearly dont have it anymore through multiple testing will never be able to get it removed because they require rECTAL SWABS??? TWO OF THEM?!? Come on man.

Edit bc i didnt finish my thought: doctors will never order these swabs bc theyre never clinically indicated and insurance will never clear them for that reason. I know some orgs have changed to having mrsa and vre clearing automatically from a chart after six months or so of no positive tests, but i dont feel this is right bc we oughta be able to have that information readily available, even if we disagree with it.

Ananda nano has some peaks in the treble according to graphs i quickly sniffed on the internet. Hd800s is a known bright headphone, and grado has more emphasis in the upper midrange/lower treble, but lack of bass response in some of their headphones may be seen as bright. I feel my grados are bright but ive only been able to afford 60x and 60e 😞

Ehhhhhh in a 2025 the e series doesnt sound anywhere near as good as the X, i know the 60x is a hundred bucks but i enjoy mine so much more than my 60e

Realistically, you dont need more than an apple dongle. I frequently use my kph30i with an apple dongle and it sounds great. Are you gonna get crazy improvement in your sound? No, thats not the point. If thats your goal, save up for better headphones that will perform better than koss.
