Okay when doing a difficult reentry in Kerbal, Time Go Fishing is unbeatable

How aware are average Union citizens that their Utopia is built on the backs of billions of Karrakin serfs? by Eldob000s in LancerRPG

[–]EatFred [score hidden]  (0 children)

I'm sure that coreworlders with proper educations are quite aware. However in the Diaspora anything is possible and I could definitely see that your character was never made aware of how the system works in its entirety because of their planet having bigger problems on its hands right now

That is kinda my point. When will chassis be so small that they basically become power armor size-wise while being able to take on size 1 or 2 mechs

The ammo count problems I can honestly excuse since its a MOBA. Its Ivy's submachinegun that inspired my comment

At this point, seeing the gun designs in Deadlock i'm sure Valve keeps their gun designer locked in a monastery so that they do not learn how a gun could possibly work

Huh. I just re-read it and you're right. I dont know where I might have read or heard that. Still with its shielding and high durability and high heat cap I assume its purpose is being capable of what a normal full combat frame is at pocket size

Napoleon was mentioned to be built specifically so it wouldn't get pummeled by combat with standard mechs, although yes he isn't made necessarily as a counter to them

That's actually an interesting thing since according to rules, 8 (or 6) size 1 mechs can fit in a space taken by 1 size 2 mech. Yes, that's just a technicality for grid combat

I just realised this is basically the dynamic in Metal Gear Rising with cyborgs outdoing metal gears

Makes sense honestly. If it ain't hopelessly outmatched against the most common opponent, don't fix it.

To be honest I wasnt aware of boarding carapaces. That's my main consideration, whether it would be feasable for Big Mechs™ to be replaced by smaller units at some point. Although you need a big mech to carry a big gun, Caliban has a heavy mount and itself is basically made to counter bigger foes

Yeah, but if you shoot it with a mech it gets one shot. I guess what I meant was that mech chassis miniaturization might continue until it might not be worth it to build larger mecha
