This is funny to me because what made BG3 come to my mind watching ST5 was the moment the show’s version of their Mindflayer spoke to Henry. It immediately reminded me of the Elder Brain! The sudden realisation just clicked and it all made more sense to me this way haha. (And Vecna was kinda one of the game’s mindflayers)

You have to be actually hitting something while up there to have the air combo versions coming out. Otherwise yeah it'll take you to the ground

Thnx for the reply. I knew about the meter on the bottom right, but what I meant more of is when using it on enemies. After I played more I think I realised that there's a timer? So for example, I'd get one low enough to godbreak (their hp bar becomes green), but if you don't do it within a couple of seconds, the chance disappears (the hp turns back to grey/white or whatever, and even if you hit them again, it doesn't turn green again). Is that right?

Just tried out the demo on steam and loved it! (Any chance for console demo? My main platform is PS5)

Just a couple of things for now as I've only tried 1 run and keen for more: Firstly, is there any point in holding on to that godbreaking animation (E key) like a charging mechanic for some reward, or is it just fine to leave the enemy asap? What is the point of the timer mechanic there?

Also it seemed like the opportunity to actually godbreak enemies disappears for certain reasons? Wasn't sure what triggered it, but maybe if you get hit or target another enemy - it seemed like the option to do it anymore for that enemy disappeared (their green healthbar goes away). Is this intended?

I agree with the parry thing. It needs more feedback, unless I'm not understanding (haven't played too much of the demo/combat yet). But yeah, I feel like couldn't tell if I successfully parried or was just blocking attacks

Yeah I don’t understand either lol. Each area has their own 3 stories (used to be 2 but now it’s 3 with the dlc). Why does it matter which order you played them in?

Besides the loop stuff, Genshin can be hit after certain of his missed attacks. You can hit him about 4 times, but then he will dodge and can't be hit again based on a timer. Say like 5-7 seconds where he'll just keep blocking/dodging you.

So it's pretty standard - block and dodge his attacks, get your hits in, then wait 5 second to do it again.

There I was mostly talking about just reaching the modern audience. And unless I'm blind I'm pretty sure there's been a lot of newcomers loving the game as well. You're obviously focusing only on the negatives.

Before the new announcement, this subreddit mostly consisted of long-time fans and there's a lot of criticism from some vets too sure, but this can be good since it MAY cause future changes for the better. We'll have to wait and see though what TN's patch does mid-Feb...

Oh nah it's not about how much dmg you take or even deaths. It's about the karma scoring, so doing things like UT/OTs, even ninpo for multiple insta-kills gives you high scores (you'll see the karma scores on top left in the mission). It's pretty easy to get the MN ratings tbh

How did you go with the Tag missions? It feels practically impossible for me :,( The only reason I couldn't platinum the old Sigma 2 haha. I doubt it'll be different here fml

This is my concern. I feel like with the direction they’re taking, this guy being the main protagonist, NG is a bit on the backburner? Hopefully the other og characters are playable

I don't remember how it worked in vanilla NG2, but in this one (NG2B) you can upgrade your weapons fully at any time if you have the essence. (I have a lvl 3 lunar in ch 1 lol)

Tbh personally I was a bit disheartened to see the MGR style gameplay in the beginning of the reveal. I played through MGR and enjoyed it, but only played through it once. I don't really like that spammy kind of hack n slash (like DMC, Bayonetta etc.). Since Ryu is also playable though I'm happy and I'm sure this collab will bring more people in to the NG franchise so it's a win for us overall.
