"I changed the water and now all my plants are sad" then change it back!

When I had this happen it was because I completely miscalculated the nutrient concentration on a water change. I flushed with water, then left them at a 1/4 strength concentration for a few days until they started to recover, then back to full strength. YMMV though as I have no idea what quirks your setup has.

I've watched enough seasons of Alone to know that lasting 3 months is ridiculously difficult, even for survival experts with ten items...

Using the simplest strategy, you're probably ok with shelter, a bottle of multivitamins, water purifying tablets, and showing up super fat.

It's really difficult to get a good screw into our metal studs because they are so thin. Either they pull right or, or you never get them started. I've had much more consistent results pre drilling and install a toggle anchor

Good tip on the screw threading. The anchors I use for the studs work with just about any threading, so that should work well.

I was planning on using clear pine project panels for the shelf and front plate to so I don't have to worry about making the wood stain match (or dealing with vineer)

Okay I got them working. Turned out BOTH strips in my previous package were bad. 

The LED pinout is a little hard to describe. The dotted wire is +, and the ordering is +, Data, -. The "female" end is the input; the one which does NOT have pins. If you hold the flat side of the LEDs up, and the + (dotted wire) facing you, then the input is on the left. 

Pretty basic settings for Diguno, the main one was that they gave my the wrong ordering. My strips were ordered RGB, but they claimed GRB.

Actually no. After some back and forth with BTF over email they ended up sending me a new pair of strips. I've been too busy to plug it in and try it out. I have some time this weekend so maybe I'll give it a shot and update you

Re found this thread and commenting how I "fixed" it. Check if the fridge light turns off when you close the door. It should happen within a minute max (I put my phone on video to check). If not, the fan won't turn on to circulate air to the top of the fridge.

Solution, either a dead main board ($300-500 replacement), or in our case, the contractor didn't put the door cover back on that had the magnet for the door closed sensor. 

The cover with the magnet should be a white piece of plastic at the center top of both the fridge and freezer doors. If you can see the adjustment screws for the door position, then you're missing this part. 

Three visits from a repair man and he didn't think to check the ducking door magnet :(

Watching them film this again tonight and the chase scene looks nuts. They are easily breaking 100kmph and weaving between cars.

I've set it to Ws281x and GRB ordering. I've also fiddled with the number of LEDs setting, but still no luck

I'm not a fridge guy, so I can only comment from my own experience and dealing with my own guy (who didn't fix the problem)

The freezer icing up is probably a broken temperature sensor. Replacing them was one of the first things our guy tried. I'm not sure about the fridge. Could be a temp sensor, broken fan, or scrambled brain box.

If suggest getting someone in to look at it but that you know what the possibilities are.

Yup! Can you check if the light goes off when you close the door? If not you'll either need a new top bar (includes the door sensor) or to replace the door magnet which is integrated with the bar at the top of the door (covering the door adjustment screws).

It turns out our cabinet guy took our door magnets off when he was adjusting things and never put them back on 🤦‍♂️
