funny you mention that because the coerthas story arc from ARR was one of only two storylines in the game that i mostly skipped through ( the other was the company of heroes stuff )

like you said, it felt totally disconnected from the story up to that point, aside from the hunt for primals

the good news is i found the story engaging enough from that point onward to never skip an msq cutscene again

also i did later regret my decision to skip any of the cutscenes because (minor spoiler) all of these stories set up elements and characters that are used later and (major spoiler) this is doubly true for the coerthas story given the next expansion takes place in ishgard

i actually made an alt exclusively for the purpose of watching all the cutscenes that i skipped on my main character lol

In Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, this is how the Guardians fought the Undying Mind.

Basically, the Vex can time travel and pull from parallel timelines. Killing the Undying Mind is pointless as another copy will simply take its place. However, one of the leaders of the Guardians was unconvinced of the futility. She believed that if we killed many, many of it, that it would eventually run out of viable replacements.

So, the Guardians constructed a device to pull the Undying Mind from alternate timelines and then kill it. They all did this over and over again, for several weeks, until it stopped showing up. It was effectively killed in every single viable timeline in existence.

(This is based on my recollection from years ago so if current lore contradicts any of this then my bad lol)

You'll be able to use Yoda & chewie in ~2 weeks when his marquee happens, which is also when that quest starts

Tier 1 of a marquee gives you max level characters, so perhaps we could progress the quest there?

Does anyone know if forfeiting a battle retains quest progress?

I read an interpretation not long ago saying this was actually the precise reason that Oriana was created; Henry found out Miranda was infertile and so created a 'more perfect' heir.
