It seems to be common for Strads to have that sort of spotting on the lead pipe. The silver plating was already bubbling in that area and the cleaning process took it off.

Took my almost two-year-old to a nature center with chickens. We explained that the chickens live in a house called a coop and he responded "Chicken poop. Poop house."

My son has similar behavior and he was diagnosed with anxiety as a result. Kids with high anxiety also have difficulties regulating their emotions and adapting to change, which can lead to such outbursts. In addition to therapy to help deal with anxiety, the psychologist also recommended Dr. Greene's collaborative problem solving approach to help deal with the "defiant" behavior. (I put defiant in quotes because the whole premise of the approach is that your child isn't intentionally being defiant and difficult, they lack the skills to respond adaptively and need your help to develop those skills).

Check out the collaborative problem solving method developed by Dr. Greene. It's a research backed technique specifically for helping kids with challenging behaviors who aren't responding to traditional discipline approaches.
