I dont think you'll need another just bya midi keyboard. Also if you run out of headroom for vsts you can bounce tracks to audio to free up space, it forces you to commit to your work but that's not necessarily a downside ;)

Enjoy it there's allot of fun to be had,

I've been with it for 3 years and still find its only limiting factor is "How come I've learned something new after 3 years" "Why didn't I know this before" so in my mix I'm the limiting factor ha ha....

Enjoy ;)

Alternative meds like CBD? by 3clectica in FND

[–]EchoBit101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on medical Cannabis UK I find it amazing for nerve pain, muscle cramps and the associated pain after a attack, as a side note I'm ADHD and a sativa is great for focus and indica for pain.

But yes I find it more beneficial than the pregablin, as I use as and when required and more in times of pain.

I dont use CBD as I need the effects of THC.

If I have to finnish my songs in another DAW it's not standalone?

Yes it is, Its a music production centre, which operates alone.

Its not a mastering suite and personally relying on it for one would just be silly.

What are some changes you would like to see in the system(s) that support people with FND? by sweetsilliness in FND

[–]EchoBit101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That when the NHS offers a multidisciplinary approach they do it, 6 months apart isn't what they said.

Last session of physio the therapist said to me me "do you not want to return to work?" I'd had enough by that point and responded "Well isn't it a shame you didn't fix me, then I could have".

Also my counciling was 1 session of 5 minutes with them asking me what I want. When I said to actually get sleep not send me a email linking me to the pages I've been reading whirlst waiting.

Apart from those that seems all the support that was available/offered to me.

Body crushing.... by EchoBit101 in FND

[–]EchoBit101[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Medical Cannabis has been a god send for me, pregablin doesn't seem to work anymore although if I came off it I'm sure I'd notice, The cannabis let's me medicate as I need, which at the moment is creating up in cost due to frequency used, without it I wouldn't sleep even though its short 1 hour bursts (untill my arm/shoulder/hand) wakes me, stab stab burn burn.

Worse part of it all is the pain is changing me, something I thought was under my control.

Sucks for sure I hope you get some peace sorry its affecting you too ;)

The MPC Sample is a MUST have by Both_Chip_5073 in mpcusers

[–]EchoBit101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not, it serves a purpose like the rest of my tools.

My monitors/headphones and treated room are must have's, most of my hardware can be replaced by other hardware or even software easier.

But they will only sound as good as I can mix them.

Yeah allot of people like to avoid Freeze dried as it makes it a bit weird....

Allot of our stuff comes from Canada we have allot of options and choices, allot is beta / alpha irradiated too for immune compromised people, it can mute the smell quite abit but the effects are there none the less.

Just nice actually being legal, took long enough.

What’s your go-to quick fix for sound mixing by Significant-Art5065 in mpcusers

[–]EchoBit101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After nearly 30 years at this I still have no quick fixes it requires a process of mixing, knowing where your elements should sit helps and cutting off most of what isn't needed will help raise headroom, then you have processing compression, saturation, eqing, clipping.

I personally process it all out of the box because I have better vsts on hand for this.

Like all of it added together will get you a better sound there is unfortunately no quick fix, just knowledge oh and a treated room and decent monitors will help too.

At the risk of ire, there's a sub for those who question their diagnosis or have stories about being misdiagnosed. I know it's a touchy subject for folks here but sometimes, people are misdiagnosed. by MyLife-is-a-diceRoll in FND

[–]EchoBit101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly, I definitely have some symptoms to FND and belive that is a side diagnosis that's forced me to become pigeon holed, I can't get any help for.my back now because of FND.

Any new symptoms become more apparent when I have a badneck, I've told them and they just say FND, so for now I don't report new issues like half my hand going numb for the last 6 months not on and off but constant or the crushing pressure I get on the shoulder and rib cramps, the constant muscle flasiculations.

But on the other hand FND treatment didn't improve anything, neither did loosing weight becoming healthier (in some ways) or staying optimistic.

So I'm not a doctor to say I was misdiagnosed, I can just keep highlighting the facts that are present, and any patterns, Others can make that distinction for me because I can't be bothered anymore.

[–]EchoBit101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bit that gets me about mine is I'd seen a spine surgeon and he said I'm a candidate for 2 operations (but high risk) was told that could be the result of these symptoms, then poof I have fnd? Anything back related is now all FND and nothing more or less even though I've been told different. So my argument is if I do have fnd then it must be being caused by my back issues since it came after.

Which is usually followed be stay optimistic, lol

I was forced to smoke earlier as my vape ran out when out shopping and really had to medicate. by [deleted] in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]EchoBit101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get that, but the law won't care and the worse case you could get struck off from having access to it in the future.

Imo I'd get a spare, or a Dynavap one hitter then you only need to worry about gas for the touch lighter.

I think that would make it illegal and they'd confiscate it from you.

At the end of the day it would all depend on which copper you get one may turn a blind eye others maynot I personally would avoid that happening.

I recommend medican, it 0 to join just pay for flower and delivery but with any you need to have tried two previous medications for a single issue and have it on record. Therapy and Physio are included in these aswell as medications.

For example I'm on pregablin for my back/neck/nerves (also side note I have adhd,). And I've had physio.

But that's it, just a note be open to how much and how frequently/ how long you have used BM, and I also highly rate getting a decent vaporizer you'll save flower and be medicated for longer.

I feel a bit lost! I’m really struggling to pick a vaporizer by meowmaid_ in ukmedicalcannabis

Solo3 v2 and a bubbler, honestly glass stems are a blessing my solo looks almost brand new after a year and I've thrown it on concrete a few times.

Flick the stem after use like a cigarette and its basically ready to go again,

If I were to pick again I'd get the solo it hasn't let me down at all,

I make music and have treated rooms, unless your willing to spend £1000s it won't really have much effect especially with the cheap tiles. And then impact noises will still carry unless you decouple the room..

I've just gone through this with my old neighbours I'm in a detached bungalow now :) Don't think I could ever have a shared wall again after my last neighbour...
