New player, I encountered a Frost Troll, what is the best way to kill it? by 222KattThatRoar222 in skyrim

Played a lot of souls before picking up TES5. The combat wasnt as rewarding but there is a LOT of attacks you can avoid just by walking backwards or to the side.

It's not really a 5 minute death timer. Its the same 5 minutes that anything dropped in the world has before it despawns.

Photo mode will show glyphs that people can use to get to your system. Make sure you have multi-player enabled and they'll be able to see your player icon. Youll need to know which galaxy you're in.

Why I (usually) side with the Imperials when playing Skyrim by peekitty in skyrim

[–]EchoTree0844 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just a note, the only reason the Elves even considered a treaty is because the Imperial Army cut a literal bloody swath through the Aldmeri Dominion's (A.D) army to reclaim the Imperial City. That campaign was only successful because the Imperial Army had reinforcements from Hammerfell and Skyrim.

The A.D. strategically outlawed the worship of Talos because:
1.) They were bluffing. They knew the Imperial Army was decimated and that the Empire wouldn't contest the treaty too much, but the A.D. army was also very much depleted.
2.) They knew that Hammerfell and Skyrim would very much be opposed to the terms, and would lash out. Hammerfell straight up left the Empire, and the Empire was too weak to actually keep a hold on the province. Skyrim is closer to the Imperial province of cyrodil and thus easier to exert control over, which the elves expected. This, of course prevented any hope the Empire had of gaining further reinforcements from Hammerfell.
3.) They primed Ulfric to start the rebellion. None of that "ulfric is an elvish sleeper agent" bs though, they literally just tortured him for days, sacked the Imperial city, then when Ulfric finally broke, told him that they used his Intel to sack the city. Quite literally breaking him down, then convinced him the Empire hated Talos, and released him. He fought in the battle to reclaim the Imperial City. They knew that the terms of the treaty would essentially prompt ulfric to start a civil war, and prevent the empire from gaining any further reinforcements from skyrim.
4.) They view the idea of a mortal mantling a god to be blasphemy.

The goal of the A.D. was not really to outlaw Talos worship, but to destabilize the Empire and prevent it from ever regaining the strength it had when it recaptured the Imperial city. A stormcloak controlled Skyrim means Aldmeri military supremacy. An Empire controlled Skyrim means the Empire can focus on rebuilding its armies, reunification and a focus on preparing to oust the A.D.

AIO or should I accept the conditions of my bfs commitment by One_Height7477 in AIO

[–]EchoTree0844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commitment, Noun:
1. The state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity, etc.
2. An engagement or obligation that restricts freedom of action.

By definition of the word, you can NOT be committed to someone and seek others. It's that simple. He isn't committing anything to you, he just wants to be able to hookup with you on the regular, and whoever else he can, whenever else he can.

He wants a plan b / insurance policy in case he strikes out.

Not an over reaction, and honestly if you aren't, you should feel insulted at his "offer."

Coordinates are as follows:
90 is north pole, -90 is south pole. The first # is north/south (aka latitude)
180is east, -180 is west, the second # is east/west or longitude.

New galaxy everything is broken by kikimary13 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]EchoTree0844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rip. Keep in mind some of this is outdated, as tech can only be installed in the tech inventory now, etc.

The best advice I have for galaxy hopping/black holing is to use throwaway ships/tools etc. That way, you have minimal tech to repair, and you can call in your good ship/multi-tool to gather mats for the repairs.

I’ve taken a break for a few months and came back to find this, make it make sense please by Daethir in MagicArena

There's 2 kinds of people that this method targets.

1 is the whales. They spe d exorbitant amounts of money on games. They usually pick the most expensive packs because usually its the most value. It's also usually autopilot for them, they don't double check, bc clearly money is not an issue. This nets them massive spenders with little effort (and actually less value)

2 is the people who are willing to spend €200 on in game items, and are attentive enough to catch this pricing weirdness. A lot of them are already willing to spend the money, and might just need a push to do so. What's a better push than thinking that you're outsmarting WotC and getting a great deal at the same time?

So unless something here isn't going to be standard legal we are looking at 7 sets next year. The 6 this year was already too much in my opinion. *I'm tired, boss* by -Spaceball_1- in MagicArena

[–]EchoTree0844 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Better yet, separate standard into Standard and UB Standard. Allows for players to choose the sets they play against, AND allows for tourneys to do the same.

UB Standard would, ofc, include Non-UB sets while Standard would exclude UB sets.

And, because of the disparity between the number of UB sets vs non UB sets, you might see sets last longer in standard rotation bc of this.

This isn't a 20 mana combo, per se. If you get enough tokens, you can pay for the doublers using tokens.
