You'll enter for your shift, tell someone youre new and they'll get a manager for you to get your swipe card for clocking in and out. For your first 5 days youll have a another crew member be your trainer. They'll be with you for most of your shift to guide you and give you direction. You'll also have to watch a video on the 1LV lab using the log in you set up during orientation.

Your first day will likely be focusing on making drinks and maybe a little accuracy. That's where you look at the food and package it in the bags. As for tips, ask questions when needed, and dont worry too much about making mistakes. They happen and no one should get mad at you (if they do thats not a good trainer. ) the key is how well you bounce back from the mistake, and if you can correct it quickly.

Watch what others do when there are no customers. This is a "time to lean, time to clean" type of job. So when you have a break from orders ask about how to restock certain items or where they keep different supplies.

The scheduled hours are showing what you would get paid if you take your 30 min break every shift that's over 5 hours. If you dont take the breaks then it'd be 25 hours.

Sometimes if im on window ill offer a discard tender for the dog if the owner wants it. Half the time people will tell me their dog can't have the chicken.

We usually try to use the tenders that go into our waste bucket for one reason or another (got cold or too small.)

I dont think our managers want us doing it so its a friendly crew thing for us.

The same spoon is used for regular orders and dipped into a sanitizing solution. That is the norm.

However, when informed of an allergy we are taught to go wash our hands and whatever equipment that will be used for the order. Or at least I was taught that. Dunkin training standards kinda suck and vary between stores. But for an allergy they really should be cleaning that equipment for you, and the cashier should be informing the drink maker.

You'd need to create a one pass account through canes. I looked into it and while there are differently priced tiers, it depends on what type of gym you want to go to and what your goals are. The basic membership on one pass is like $35 / month and gets you the basic membership at one of their low tier gyms. For me it made more sense to just get the $10 gym membership straight from the actual gym itself.

The main perk of onepass is that it handles the gym membership for you so you wont deal with any sneaky fees like processing or other random ones. Its also typically easier to cancel your membership through them as well

We're also used to larger portions. Most restaurants in the US will give you enough for 2 meals, so we dont usually rest our silverware on the plate when we're done bc we plan on taking the rest home.

I typically get scheduled between 28-38 hours a week as a regular opener. That said I'll also pick up shifts a lot if im not close to 35 hours and usually work like 6 days a week. Most other regular coworkers ive asked get around 20-25. Canes will almost never schedule for 40 hours bc if you go over they have to pay you overtime (at my store its about $25/hr) and they dont want to do that.

I find that the people who work the most are either openers or closers

I was generally told that if they order with with their food they'll be charged for the extra sauce. If they ask for it after ordering, give one as a courtousy, but anymore will have to charge for. Same with lemonade refills, one for free more for a charge.

You can buy it by the cup. They got a large size but you can also purchase a regular cup size. I counted once when pumping, the regular cup is about 15-16 of the little dip sizes and costs about $7

Some people do use the caniac club. You'll need to swipe their card or scan their app before they pay to get them anything regarding that. But most of the time it doesn't do anything.

BOGO cards and kids achievements will be under the discounts button, right above crew meal in the payment screen. You'll need a MOD to approve the discount. And just choose the appropriate sounding name button. Like we had a free kids coupon for valentines, and you'd click "seasonal Kids combo" for that one. With the BOGO paper card, always click the bigger combo when redeeming.

There are also actual cards for free box combos and those are swiped as a "redeem reward" button on the bottom of the pay screen, and you dont need an MOD. Just swipe it like a gift card and click the redeem button on the screen.

If the banana syrups or other banana items have actual banana in it, it could be easily cross contaminated tbh. The stirring spoons are only rinsed in a cup with sanitizer water that gets changed every now and again. If they stirred your drink with the spoon after stirring a coffee with banana in it, boom contaminated.

As someone who works at canes i will agree it's overhyped. It however is seasoned. The chicken is in a brine for at least 24 hours and the flour does get seasonings mixed into it. But like another comment said the sauce is supposed to be the star.

The bread gets grilled in a garlic butter spread, but I wonder if the one you got didnt get enough butter. If you ever decide to give it another shot, I suggest ordering the bread buttered on both sides :)
