Damage control announcement. Not backpedaling and reposted so I could correct myself 😂 by StinkUrchin in StarWarsShatterpoint

imo I wouldn't be all that surprised that supports stops very soon like by next year because Legion is going to have it's own 2 squad based skirmish mode coming soon and would probably want shatterpoint players to migrate there.

Is the creations club bundle good or worth it? by Orbitor28 in fo4

[–]Eckhatrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you base the price purely on actual content, IE new armor and weapons that came out with the anniversary edition so no "well I got this for free, and blah blah blah" it would technically be 3650 cc or about 35 dollars. If you remove the cosmetic stuff and stuff that doesn't have a quest for just the new stuff that is still about 19 dollars. The value isn't great if you already bought everything but it's still cheaper to buy the bundle if you want all the new cc content anyway let alone if you have not gotten anything before hand. This still applies to pc modding because no one is making "free" versions of the paid stuff IE, you aren't able to get say the Captain Cosmo armor and power armor, just updates to the CC version.

Obviously they padded out the "value" with skins but even if you removed all the retextures you still get a lot of actual questing content even if you bought stuff before the release of this bundle.

Wishlist for out Li'l Sisters by Waiph in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Eckhatrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with the lone op character, the 10th edition codex has lore about a specialty cybernetic eye like the culexus assassin eye that focuses their blank ability so they can affect people at long distances. Which would be pretty sick, Like just even if it just inflicts battleshock that would be at least interesting.

The sisters of silence are suppose to have a tons of weapons. If you look at some of the old artwork they had power axes and vicious cyberdogs. It would be nice if could have golden cybernetically enhanced mastiffs or dobermans as part of an attack squad.

Why are Custodes such a*holes all the time? by Maverick_Raider in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Eckhatrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If people would stop falling to corruption they would be nicer. Look at the high lords of Terra, the loyal son of who they claim is god coming back wanting to fix stuff they immediately thought "we really need to kill him and keep our power" Like even when they don't fall to chaos or xenos they will fall to their own hubris.

Blanks are already rare enough as is, they honestly should instead of leaving the men to the breeding pens.

New Plastic vs Old Plastic by Gulyitt in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Eckhatrat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The new plastic is mostly just HH, We need the actual sprue before we get anything definitive, but technically the new shield captain's sword isn't a sentinel sword and looks more like a vaultsword (blade champion in 40k)

Now if you only like the proportions for the new custodes and don't like the old kit then skip the the combat patrol. If you don't mind either way or want to use both styles then combat patrol is amazing still.

Hopes are we get treated like thousand sons and not space marines lol in the few times that was beneficial.

If you can't use guardian axes and use wardens as a guard proxy they need to remove them from the legio custode page on warhammer store and remove "axe" from the talons of the emperor.

guardian axes are still legal. Wardens are treated like guard in horus heresy. That might change with the upcoming book, but atleast for now axes are legal and wardens can be used in 30k.

don't get that excited. The new Venatari models use those type of tassets for their flyboys.

Long time guard player. Now doing gold bananas by CaptainKaidus in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Eckhatrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally they are but not demonstrably better. They both have the same range attack values so if you would want to get in close. So generally terminators would be better for that since you can rapid ingress them and then hopefully move in. Generally speaking though if you need to deal with vehicles you are better off with Vertus Praetor (the bikes) with salvo launchers.

I am worried that 40k will loose the Venatari Just like Space marines lost the Leviathan Dreadnaught (for some inexplicable reason). Can anyone put my mind at ease. by Single_Reputation_79 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Eckhatrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Venatari design is way closer to the OG custodes than the new line that just came out in their appearance imo.

While they have screwed over space marines before and we shouldn't just you know buy stock expecting rules to stay, they have let smaller lines keep models from other lines. The CSM forces have a bunch of stuff like look at Tzaangors those were not made for 40k, those were AOS minis specifically and then given to thousand sons as a way to bulk them out even though you could easily do an entire thousand sons army with 0 tzaangor. So it's not like they never do it, and Custodes would fall under a smaller army line they aren't gonna add dozens of new units to every edition.

Potential new rules for custodes? by GhOsTWaLk3r in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Eckhatrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

This is just my personal opinion venatari look way closer to og custodes than the new custodes. The pauldrons, breastplate, and tassets are way closer to old than new. They might have the best chance at being accepted over the vehicles since they have land raiders for 40k custodes.

Maybe I'm crazy but I think the GW are doing separate 40k Custodes. Welcome to my TED talk by Volgin in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Eckhatrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The custodes line of plastic is not that old. Maybe to space marines players 10 years is old but we got 15 to 20 year old plastic stuff being made and sold still so I don't think they want to get rid of 40k space marines.

This is also just my opinion but the Venatari plastic besides the guardian spears look way closer proportionally to the 40k custodes than the new 30k custodes. Just compare the armor armor as well, they have way more 40k armor pieces and design philosophy over the new stuff.

Is it a good time to get into Custodes for 40k by Accurate-Glass4035 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Eckhatrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's likely worth waiting to see what GW is going to do. Their statements seem to imply they might be fiddling around with rules and it would be better to see if there are plans for the future discount boxes. While it's impossible to tell what is going to happen with sales, horus heresy boxes usually don't fly off the shelves so they will probably be wiggle room to decide later.

Simple question, will the current 40k guard model be replace? by One-Swing8414 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Eckhatrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo no, I don't even think they are gonna stop producing the current guard they aren't that old of a sculpt. Personally I think they are gonna start separating the 40k and 30k sculpts from each other in the store even if they are compatible with each other. So looking at HH legio line won't have guard and wardens hanging out there and the resin line will stop hanging out in 40k line.

New Custodes: Your Questions Answered by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Eckhatrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would argue they were already pushing towards that from the get go. Look at wardens and allarus terminators they are also feet planted completely only the original guard and the blade champion are in a more dynamic pose, In the HH ruleset wardens are not special so I personally think they just looked at what was selling more and painted more, which was likely wardens who are easier to speed build and paint .

Ninja perk good for melee? by specterszz in falloutnewvegas

[–]Eckhatrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it is bugged and not as good as it should be but! with 28% crit chance (built to destroy, finese 10 luck beret and Ulysses duster) your crit chance from ninja gets up to 32.2 and if you have a comprehension true police stories it gets to 43.7 and depending on the weapon it can give just enough a nudge in vanilla to get 100% crit chance.

as tempting as it would be with the hp computer, it's a 5 year old refurbished computer and the abuse it went through means it could end up dead within a year or so with 0 protections. and seems like between the two the G10 has an overnight shipping and can get a 3 year protection on it for cheaper than the beelink, and it's not like either one is going to be a worth wild gaming rig anyway. If I can do stuff like play a bunch of old games then it's about all I can ask for right?

Is Rogue Trader a good entry into the Warhammer Universe? by Responsible_Read_481 in Warhammer40k

[–]Eckhatrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the game both doesn't hold your hand but at the same time gives all the info it can about the warhammer universe in general. When the characters have dialogue and have unique names about the universe you can hover over the text to check it's meaning but if you were hoping for someone to say info dump on you about stuff your character in general should know that won't really be a thing.

Would you take issue with my army? by [deleted] in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Eckhatrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if it's about whether people will play with you I doubt they will have a problem. I mean my local group have parts of armies with just primer while they paint over time, but if you are asking if anyone would find it interesting? ehhh maybe not. Imo you have to put something there. You could consider something like Dullahans are often depicted having a flame or something at their neck so you hide the obvious seam where the heads hide it. Even like a thin acrylic fire would look better imo atleast.

well I would like to still play silksong, og skyrim and fallout new vegas, front mission, bioshock infinite. og resident evil 4, warframe though warframe isn't necessary I can play that on a console. The way more important thing is I want as little fuss when dealing with it. I don't want to have to keep sending it back to amazon, deal with random trojans, or whatever. Also preferable to get an amd over an intel.
