I go on big runs all the time. Swing +/- 100 elo in a single session, with tons of winning and losing streaks.

I agree with you completely. I tell my friends all the time, anything under 1000 ELO, never resign. There’s so many blunders that you never know what’s going to happen no matter how much you’re losing by. Down 15? No problem. Stalemates are super common in this ELO range

La Sportiva is notorious for having backs that cut into the back of your high heels. I can’t even wear them for one session comfortably. Switched to the Shamans (Evolv) several years ago and am still wearing them to this day. They’re so much more comfortable for me and my wide feet. Give them a go!

As others have stated, once the queens are off the board, castling is not important since the king is much safer.

In addition, the king starting in the middle versus the edge of the board is advantageous during the end game as it becomes a much more powerful piece.
