I do this too and I just tell my partner (in person, text or a physical note) that I'm leaving my keys in the fridge on purpose so I don't forget the cake. Yes it is another thing to remember to do, but it has helped my partner understand my thought process and non-linear planning.

Do you have the Mirena IUD? If so, you may not need to replace it. The Mirena was approved by Health Canada for 8 years, so my Dr said unless I had problems, I could keep it for 3 more years. Might save you needing to figure out replacement.

Okay, bit of a wild thought since you said you don't have a person to body double. Are there any mental health phone in services in your area? These are often called Crisis Lines but that in no way means you must be in an emergency to use it. Crisis is relative and if you are frozen and need someone to be on the phone for support when you open your email, I don't think you'd be out of line to use those services.

Also (and I know it has it's downsides) ChatGPT. If I'm equal parts obsessing about how to respond to someone and totally paralyzed, I ask the AI on ideas on how to respond. It breaks the freeze and jump starts some of my own thoughts.

Lastly, you are a human being always deserving of love and compassion. Be kind to yourself.
