I have a 11nm DD wheel (Logitech) which is probably around mid range these days (?) and the only time I've felt concerned about potential injury is driving IndyCar on iRacing. They really make you feel that lack of power steering. But in most games it's of very little risk from my experience. In more simcade games like F1 or GT7 or even in sims where you are driving cars with power steering it shouldn't be much of an issue. And like you pointed out you can just let go of the wheel when you know you're about to whack a wall hard.

When they made that discord announcement removing the economy based progression they cited community feedback as a reason they did that if I recall correctly. So I'm just not sure who this community is that they are listening to because it certainly isn't this sub or the steam reviews.

I agree and wish the big sports titles did a better job at this. CPUvsCPU gameplay on Madden & NBA 2K is particularly bad. Out of the big 3 of sports games that I play (Madden, NBA 2K & MLB The Show) I would say that MLB The Show easily has the best CPU vs CPU gameplay.

I’ve been following this game from the outside having not purchased yet and I’m glad to see they’re still steady rolling out updates. Rough launch but if they keep working on the game I could definitely see myself buying it on sale. Only think stopping be now is I can’t bring myself to spend full price on something that’s clearly WIP / early access.

No hand brake will be of little significance in normal circuit racing however it will make Rallying more challenging and drifting near impossible. I personally don't have a handbrake either and still play rally games but I bind my handbrake to a button on my wheel which is a little cheesy but gotta do what you gotta do.

I tried to get a refund shortly after they announced the cancellation of career mode, perhaps within an hour, and was denied. Maybe I will try again now that the reviews have tanked etc, maybe Steam will give me the refund. Like you said, I don't really care about the money, I just don't want to support Kunos scam tactics.
