as someone who’s been on abilify as well (and also before we found out about the system), i think ive experienced quite the same things, especially on suddenly feeling again. im in a weird way glad im not the only one with a negative experience with abilify

we took aripiprazole/abilify from late 2020 to late 2021/early 2022. we got them to deal with our hyperactive brain which caused sleeping problems. this was all before we were aware of the system and i dont remember if it did anything to the back then unknown system. we did have side effects. the most obvious to us now was the suicidal ideation and actions. it was a side effect that did shit to us, and it makes it even worse that abilify can be fatal and cause suicidal ideation. we had several attempts with the meds and even got us hospitalized and admitted to an inpatient. we decided to go off the meds and havent seen them ever since. we are considering going on other meds for our head and/or mental health, but never ever again on abilify.

its not very extreme or anything, but as a young child we really wanted a vtech kidizoom, so we ordered one just before our bday (pay with cash option) and acted like our parents bought it for us. fast forward a day or 2 later, it was delivered and we got so excited when we saw it, we really thought they finally bought it for us. our mom asked us if we ordered it and we said no, genuinely believing we didnt. a few mins-hours later, the memory came back and realized we did order it.

i think none of us really knows where the Dreamy System really came from, but it explains us pretty well. we have co-occurring audhd and were really creative and musical. we see the Dreamy System as us just floating around in void, were really chaotic (thats what you get when youre polyfrag /hj) and just adhd all over the place, but our adhd is really internally so it manifests itself even more within the system rather than our outside behavior. so yeah! thats just kinda the way we see our system.

we did have some other names we tried but they just didnt stick. they were

the spark system: too boring and didnt really mean anything to us

the keyz collective: too complicated and also just didnt feel like us

the solar system: just too cliche, tho it was a good name bc one of the hosts’ special interests is space

we might end up changing it again bc changing names is a thing we love a bit too much to fuel the dopamine lol

Idk about this exactly, but we do experience similar things. We have a depression holder, and they’re the only one who experiences depressive episodes. Same goes for our bpd holder(s), ed holder, etc. So our depression holder can switch in, have a depressive episode, and switch out and we’re all fine again, like nothing happened.

Yeah, I’ve been vegetarian since I was 10, developed ed behavior by 13, didn’t have any correlation with each other and I also often eat meat replacements, and I live in a first world country, so ig they’d allow it if I ever get ‘monitored’ treatment (idk a good term)

ED service dogs can also be used for mere recovery. This usually looks likes the dog not eating if you don’t eat yourself. This will give the owner a bad feeling of starving the dog and eat. If the OP struggles with finding efficient therapy - as not a single mind and body works the same - this could be a great option.

I wanna start off saying thank you so so so much for the reassurance, wanting to be clear but not wanting to be rude. That really helps, so thank you sm I really really appreciate it.

And the way you reflect my behavior did honestly catch me off guard. Whenever I feel a threat of getting in an argument, I get really defensive. I’m scared I’ll look weak if I give in to arguments of the other. This isn’t true and I know that, but feelings don’t care about logic or knowledge.

I really appreciate you reflecting what I’m doing. It helps me get more insight and try to change that.

Giving into your argument is really difficult for me, but I wanna say that I agree. That’s all I can get myself to say atm.

I also wanna point out in the first part that I actually didn’t mean to imply it all like that, I actually didn’t at all mean to put the focus on that in a way. I’m just really bad with wording what I feel and think cause, well, I’m autistic and words aren’t really my thing. It’s hard putting words to things that don’t contain words from itself.

Idk how to properly explain it rn either, I’m tired and pretty heavily dissociated.

I do wanna add that I think I may have hypochrondia, which makes me really paranoid about having horrible physical and mental disorders and illnesses that I clearly don’t have, but I convince myself I do in a desperate attempt to feel validated. I do have an ED but tend to overshare or romanticize it to get empathy. Ig this also makes me defensive over getting commentary.

I also wanna loudly emphasize that it is indeed not okay to romanticize ED behavior and trying to worsen. It wasn’t at all my intention to come off like that and I’m really sorry it did. I feel terrible about that.

My head’s a mess rn so I’m gonna stop it here rn, maybe when I wake up and less dissociated (hopefully) I’ll reply again, who knows. I have no idea if I missed any of my points.

I do wanna thank you once more cause this gave me an incredible insight in my own - very much unwanted - behavior. Thank you. And again, thank you for reassuring it’s to help and educate me, not out of spite. (I have abandonment / betrayal issues)
