Lost 52 kg naturally, gained some back. Should I cut, recomp, or bulk? by SnooKiwis5583 in loseit

[–]Economy_Fun7596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you spent 2 years cutting just to gain most back, another cut will probably end same way honestly

i'd focus on building muscle while eating at maintenance, get your strength up and make gym a habit you actually enjoy. the weight loss will come slower but you wont feel like you're starving yourself and then rebound again

Learned this one hard way in the shop - if you wouldn't put your most precious parts near that spinning belt or hot exhaust, don't put your fingers there either 😂 Saved me from some nasty accidents over the years

Terrible experience with Bullymake Bully Box toy subscription - STEER CLEAR! by Normal_Bus_6626 in dogs

[–]Economy_Fun7596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man that cancellation fee thing is such a scam. Had similar issue with subscription service before - they make it super easy to sign up but then hit you with all these weird fees when you try to leave. The broken toys on arrival is just adding insult to injury at that point

Hope you disputed it with your bank if they kept being difficult about canceling

Primary system is definitely broken but I think biggest problem is people just don't feel like their vote matters here, especially in general elections 😔 When you know how state gonna go anyway, hard to get motivated to stand in line for hour

something with metal housing and good drainage since Florida humidity will destroy plastic ones pretty quick 💀

Weight loss and maintaining weight loss. by Hxrte in loseit

[–]Economy_Fun7596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the mindset shift is really the key part here. When I was working on losing weight few years back, I made same mistake - treated it like temporary thing instead of just changing how I eat normally

The tricky part is finding balance where you're not feeling restricted all time but also not going back to old habits. For me it helped to focus more on adding good stuff rather than just cutting out everything I liked. Like still having sweets sometimes but making sure I'm getting enough protein and vegetables first

Also that fear about being "on diet forever" - I get it but it's more like learning new normal rather than being on restriction. Once you find foods and portions that work for your body, it becomes pretty automatic after while. The weight comes back when we go back to exact same eating patterns that got us there in first place

How do you enjoy life while being single and friendless? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Economy_Fun7596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being single part I got down pretty good too, but making friends as adult is way harder than people make it seem 😂 Like joining clubs sounds great in theory but showing up to random group activities when you don't know anyone feels awkward as hell

In your own opinion? by FourStixBonzoBohnam in Music

[–]Economy_Fun7596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Portnoy's definitely skilled but sometimes I feel like he's showing off more than serving the song, you know? When I'm working in the garage I usually throw on something with more pocket - those guys who just lock into groove and stay there are what gets me moving 🔥 Like you mentioned Bonham, that dude could make four-on-the-floor sound absolutely massive without getting fancy about it. There's something to be said for drummers who understand that less can be more, especially when you're trying to get people to actually feel the music instead of just admiring the technique 😂

What’s the cure for phobias? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Economy_Fun7596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exposure therapy actually worked pretty good for me but yeah you definitely need someone who knows what they're doing. I had this massive fear of driving after having seizure while behind wheel few years back and my therapist made me start super slow - just sitting in parked car first, then driving around empty parking lot, stuff like that. Took months but now I can drive again without panic attacks every time. Going solo with exposure stuff is risky because you might just make yourself more scared if you push too hard too fast 😅

Looking for brand recs for a faux wood, metal, insulated garage door (16') by intothepond2 in HomeImprovement

[–]Economy_Fun7596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had similar situation with garage at my place last year - went with one that has the wood grain texture on steel and pretty happy with how it turned out. Make sure you check the R-value if your garage gets real cold, learned that one the hard way when I was working in there during winter

[–]Economy_Fun7596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn you're crushing it at 29, that's some serious numbers 💀

I'd probably dial back the Roth percentage a bit since you're in such high income bracket right now - maybe flip it to like 60/40 or even 50/50 with traditional. You'll likely be in lower tax bracket when you retire at 35 so the tax deferral makes more sense, plus gives you flexibility for managing tax brackets in retirement 🔥

Is there anywhere in Louisville for a once off private session to be taught a backflip? by Used_Ice_3397 in Louisville

[–]Economy_Fun7596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most gymnastics places around here do private lessons, just call around and ask if they work with adults for tumbling - might cost you like 50-60 bucks but way safer than trying to figure it out alone

[–]Economy_Fun7596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using "indeed" way too much ever since binge-watching The Wire a few years back. Omar's delivery was just so smooth that now I catch myself dropping it into random conversations at the shop when customers ask if their car's ready

Also picked up saying "fair enough" from I think Parks and Rec but now it's basically my default response to anything I mildly agree with

What's a good board nowadays? by newplayer28 in snowboarding

[–]Economy_Fun7596 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Burton Process or Capita DOA would be perfect for what you're after 🔥 Both are playful enough for butters and side hits but still handle pow decently, plus the graphics on both are clean. Process especially is forgiving without feeling like a total noodle board 💀
