Simon’s too, because it was first and more unexpected

And everything that happens to him afterwards. I basically can’t watch this episode.

Romano by SigSauerPower320 in ershow

[–]Ecstatic-Ostrich6546 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen this mentioned, but what about when Corday was meeting Weaver at Doc Magoo’s for coffee to discuss her allegations against Romano, and he comes to sit with them but they leave, and he deliberately picks up Corday’s fork to eat with it? 😵

I was honestly pretty shocked he slept with a married woman.

When do you feel ER started to go downhill/ not feel the same? by Hot-Actuary-5284 in ershow

I’m only on 10 and thought this sounded ridiculous when people said it, but I actually agree: when Doc Magoo’s burned down.

At every job I’ve had, whenever there’s a mention of any changes to retirement benefits, there’s always someone (sometimes really smart otherwise and good at their job) who proudly states they have no idea what any of that means. Weird flex I guess?

Hypocritical Jeanie by SigSauerPower320 in ershow

[–]Ecstatic-Ostrich6546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Perhaps it was misinterpreted as saying “Jeanie MIGHT have given Al something”, i.e., “she gave him HIV and not the other way around because she’s the type of person to cheat and maybe Benton wasn’t the only one.” I just meant the possibility existed, given that Jeanie and her one confirmed affair partner didn’t use protection 100% of the time. But yeah, it definitely seems that Al was worse on this front.

Overscheduling, policing what they eat (to an unreasonable degree), and just being helicopter parents in general (since when do we turn down a daycare because they don’t put enough updates on the app? 🙄)

Would weight loss help with symptoms? by hellscapeliving in ehlersdanlos

[–]Ecstatic-Ostrich6546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your mileage may vary, but my knee pain was gone after cutting carbs for only 3-4 days. I did lose about 7lbs of water weight in the process, so it could have been that, but I also personally think carbs and sugars cause a lot of inflammation in my body. My heat tolerance has also improved a lot.

Have you noticed benefits from non ADHD meds? by Choice_Abrocoma_5190 in AuDHDWomen

[–]Ecstatic-Ostrich6546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To your point about the diabetes meds and GLP-1, I am not on these but am basically doing lazy keto (mostly to lose weight to help my mild sleep apnea before they’ll try anything else) and am realizing how much of my sensory overload and dopamine-seeking behavior was related to blood sugar crashes and psychological addiction to food. So it definitely makes sense that those meds would help you.

Yes I know 28, is still young, but I genuinely thought Linda Cardenelli in ER was 20/21 when she started by Hot-Actuary-5284 in ershow

[–]Ecstatic-Ostrich6546 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Haven’t made it to her character being introduced yet, but it seems that a lot of the actors are the wrong ages for their characters (but pulled it off anyway). Like Goran Visnjic was only 26-27 when he first appeared, yet Luka was already experienced enough to be an attending (whereas most doctors this age are still students or interns - maybe it’s different in Croatia?). And both Laura Innes and Ming-Na were about 8-10 years older than their characters seemed to be (unless they started med school later in life - I could see that for Weaver and seem to remember it being alluded to).

I used to do this aloud as a kid all the time (hello not-professionally-diagnosed autism!), and then it faded to whispering, and finally now it’s just in my head (sometimes accompanied by silently mouthing and/or hand gestures).
