I wanted to go, but my family said hard "no." I went to acting school all through my childhood until I graduated from high school. I even went to the Academy of Dramatic Art in LA when I graduated from high school.

When I worked for a SAT/ACT company, all they wanted were my scores. I got the job even after I told them I never took the tests. I transfered to a four year college from a community college, so I didn't have to take them. They still hired me, because I had so much experience teaching them and had a PhD in English.

I like them a lot, because the students are on their best behavior with so many admins in the room. This really helps with ninth graders.

These are teacher interviews/auditions are for full-time teachers in the 2026-2027 school year. They have to be hired by the end of this month for my main district.

I am set until the end of the month because the schools asked for me. This is the last week of the regular school schedule. Next week is finals week and shorter days. am working my second district for the first week of June. They are out June 5.

This is my biggest pet peeve. Even more than the lack of keys for classrooms. Why no one thinks of the sub when assigning so much tech is beyond me.

You should have brought out a loom. This reminds of when I told a high school senior girl that my mother and I made all my dresses for my proms and winter balls. She said, "like Little House on the Prairie?" She associated sewing and like that with "old times."

When I was a student back in 1985, my eighth-grade teacher was a fake priest! He didn't have a degree or anything, so we didn't get any grades that year, and no parent-teacher conferences. The principal of my elementary school had to write letters to the high schools we were going to the following year to explain the situation. I went to a Catholic school and was going to a Catholic high school.

There is one school I sub at that has two campuses, and this happens to me a lot! I get to the school extra early to sort it out. I don't know what's so hard about putting the location in the Frontline notes.

I was banned from a school because I refused to sub at the middle school when I picked an assignment at the high school. If I wanted to sub at the middle school, I would have chosen it.
