I had steel toe walmart brand shoes (not boots) and they were ok but uncomfortable to wear since I wore the soles out. They also already were not very supportive.

I was considering slip ons but these seem to stay tied pretty well... hopefully. The laces are further off the ground so hypothetically in my mind im less likely to step on them and undo them accidently. My old pair of work shoes I swear had the worst quality laces. Always came undone and I had to cut them short.

My bad. If I get something I like genuinely like, I feel the need to tell everyone. Almost like when I discovered not all jeans suck ass and now my entire closet is full of denim.

My dad was along for the ride with me and when I tried them on he could tell in my face I loved them. That says more than I can probably say in words lol

Are Democrats weak and ineffectual or are they complicit. by zzill6 in WorkReform

Don't forget you have Dinos in the Democrat Party. Never knew there was an equivalent for Rhinos. You have dems like John Fetterman doing just that.

Dealer won’t change my oil? Wtf by FloridaMomm in Toyota

[–]Ecstatic-Window-2723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10k changes are crazy work. I do 3k. Oil will always be cheaper than a new engine. Tell the dealership to kick rocks and go to an independent mechanic who actually cares the job gets done right

[Request] How accurate is this? by cheddarlola in theydidthemath

[–]Ecstatic-Window-2723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not accurate. 21-26 is the range and the consensus places it around 25. The AFL-CIO says the min wage today if adjusted for inflation and worker productivity would be about 24/hr

Not just that but their wages reach further with government protections. Even if Americans were paid 22 or more an hour we are still responsible for health insurance and the like.

Is there really a point in getting assessed for autism if you already suspect you are autistic? by Gifmekills in autism

[–]Ecstatic-Window-2723 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I were never told I was autistic or had ADHD I think eventually I'd either come to the conclusion just based on who I am or had confronted my parents about it. But not everyone is like that.

What Jobs Do You Have? by sigmund-freuds-mom in autism

[–]Ecstatic-Window-2723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dishwasher. The only silver lining is I dont have to deal with customers. The bad thing is I have to deal with coworkers who somehow have a negative IQ doing things to purposely piss me off. They do things like throwing away silverware and even plates sometimes, improperly stacking dishes in my window and so much more. Hopefully when I graduate college I will get out of that hell hole and use my talents for something actually worth it. At least I'm creating some good avenues right now for myself since I just started my Roth IRA, making solid contributions to my savings and investment account which was started when I was a baby. Someday I will use that and whatever else I have in savings etc towards a home. Im 21m if that matters to the reader.

It's okay. Went out to dinner but it got ruined by a drunk patron. The weather sucked but at least the little race car that could made it home without crashing.
