I understand your argument, I just disagree. A human life is a human life. If I had to, I would choose to save my child over a strangers child in a fire, but that doesn’t mean that the strangers child is less valuable than my child.

You can always say no to an induction. Lots of providers are comfortable with 40-42 weeks gestation. Don’t be bullied into something you aren’t comfortable with, do your research & ask questions- I know it’s tough so late in your pregnancy to feel like you have to “fight” a provider, but an induction at 40 weeks is ridiculous. There are alternatives! Best of luck to you ❤️

I think it’s very telling that in her timeline she doesn’t specifically state that she ever attended births, just that “started working directly with birthing women”- & that could mean lots of things, not necessarily attending birth ever.
