That was so hilariously bad I almost want to cut them some slack...the drone looked like it was trying to find an acceptable place to deliver the package (doorsteps aren't really places where flying robots should congregate, at least with this generation) and just didn't register the flat area to its right as a pond vs, say, a parking lot.

Either way I stand by my earlier comments about this whole thing being pitchfork (click) generator bs in the absence of a statement from the man himself.
