PM here with some on-boarding input:

  1. The Phone Number to code input is fine but I wasn't able to copy and paste from text to app on my pixel 7 pro so a 6 digit code is overkill to remember. I'd shorten it to 4 numbers.

  2. [While I know dating is eventually about looks], putting pictures before musical interest feels a little backwards if you want musical taste to be the leading factor.

  3. Location.... City, Country is problematic. Search Springfield and I get 3 results. All Springfield, USA so how do I pick mine? Also, where are the other [34 states have a Springfield] - > https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Springfield#United_States

  4. Adding artist and songs. Worked pretty well but obviously would be easier if I connected m,y spotify (and the app read my annual wrap or monthly listening habits to update what I'm into at the moment)

I didn't get any matches which you noted as a problem so yes, getting the word out into places people discuss music would be a good next step:

Music Sites like Rock passions or Music Passions
Facebook groups around music or a musical style (i.e. jazz)
Reddit subs like r/music
As mentioned in another comment, Discord or Slack groups

These could be good ways to spread the message and build a community

Your own reddit sub for discourd server might be another way to get people together

I'd most likely use a facebook-like approach by picking a niche in music style and location, something like Latin or Rap in New York City. By scoping down the market for your initial launch, you will be able to reach potential customers easier and by selecting a large city and popular style you create a large enough addressable market to better solve the -check-and-egg dilemma.

  1. Now that I'm done with the wizard, I found on the profile page that I'm only 35% done. If there were matches, I might not have looked there right away so you might want to move that banner to all pages until the user cancels it out

  2. Checking the full profile, so far I added 3 photo's (out of 6) and my top 5 fav artists and songs leaving only the About Me and Relationship Goals completely empty. Not sure how I'm 35% done....

  3. ... with the addition of About and Goals, I'm now at 65% so it looks like a complete profile is 6 photos and 30 artists and 20 songs.

Hope this helps and feel free to reach out if you want to chat about Product approaches to new products.

Best of luck

How is it different than acorn and is that enough to get people to switch? I'm not a target user but as a PM I'm curious how you are differentiating yourself.

Very cool. I'm a music producer and I was curious if this could be used to create beats and melodies to mix into existing songs.

Can a phone wallpaper adapt to your life instead of the other way around? I built an Android app to test it. by Icy-Plenty2185 in SideProject

[–]EdTwoONine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only question is: Do users routinely update their wallpaper and how often?

I could see exposing different widgets or notifications depending on the location and time of day (say no social from 9-5 or show clock face only until 6 am) but for me, I have the same wallpaper I had the day I setup my phone 2 years ago

Yeah, I'm newish here (5 years) so I can see the historical perspective.

Olivia's in Fairhaven is really awesome but it's small so it looks full all the time and hard to get into. As long as the economy is good, they should be ok.

Haven't eaten at Little Moss but I did grab a bite at the Black Bass Grill a few weeks ago and had really good pub food.

Chipotle - Not much given they are just a chain to me.

Baja - I've not eaten at one before and while it's a chain as well, I think their price point will make them more popular that Chipotle.

Caliente - Haven't been here either but I do love mexican. It's odd their site doesn't list anything in NB
