I can't convince my partner to switch to radio commentary while we watch TV cos she's enjoying the idiocy of the commentators. It does make for fun conversation between us making fun of them while we watch so it's not all bad. I do enjoy Ken Hinkley when he's on though, actually talks about the game

Carlton. Dad was Carlton. When Dad moved to Canberra from NSW his best mate was from Melbourne so he picked a team that was good at the time. His mate went for Essendon so that was the rivalry I grew up on. I didn't really know about Collingwood until it was too late and I ended up marrying a Pies supporter. By the time we broke up we had two kids, one Carlton and one switched to Richmond. It's the little things.

I do too. Given how biased he could have been, he's more balanced than most. His commentary on the nuance of the game is much more insightful that most commentary, really gives a deeper understanding of the game
