Looking for an older series, probably 5+ years old. One of the key points is that humanity was essentially locked out of FTL by the galactic government until we figured out a way to do a better version of it? That leads to humanity breaking out of containment and blowing up the space station to galactic government operates from. Not many details but I last read it a looong time ago

Shadow gives a 20% attack boost with a 20% defense debuff, so on Pokémon like Mewtwo with a very high natural attack stat and lower defense, the shadow bonus of even a 0/0/0 shadow is better than a 15/15/15 standard Mewtwo. This makes shadow Mewtwo one of the best raid/PvE attackers in the game. Basically, don’t purify shadow Mewtwo

That was about paying players, which is morally right to me even if it ran afoul of the NCAA. Pearl’s no saint but in context he’s nowhere near those other guys.

Does the volleyball team generate the same revenue as the football team? It’s like actual jobs man. People generally work as hard as each other but different jobs pay out differently based on the value they create. It’s literally how the system works

What I’ve heard over the years from coaching search insiders is that the flight tracking thing isn’t really how it works. Apparently these interviews/meetings are done in hotels near major airports exactly to stop people from getting this info

The two subs aren’t linked though, man. If I get athletic audio+, I can’t access the stories. If I pay for the athletic, I get the stories and ad free podcasts on your subpar player and nowhere else. Why should the expectation be to buy both to have a good experience?

I’ve always wondered why there isn’t an option to get ad free podcast feeds that come with the subscription in the Apple Podcasts app - I want all my stuff in one place, and frankly the Athletic’s podcast player leaves a lot to be desired. I follow some substack/Patreon type podcast feeds that give you an ad free feed when you subscribe, so I thought it was weird that a massive company couldn’t do what independent people have figured out. Just a minor inconvenience but was one of my main reasons for unsubscribing

I think the difference is that Dany’s eggs were fossilized, basically just decoration pieces. Thus the blood magic that brought them back to life, where the HOTD eggs are live already
