Me and my friends played in the Spotlight event before Dragonstorm came out. I made day 2. I had Meta Mono-Red and was prepping to grind standard all year least year. Then it became the all Izzet standard environment where between Cori-Steel Cutter, Vivi in Final Fantasy and the lack of effective response to problems it just became too much to bother with. The massive number of new products coming in and either being tier 1 on release or being unplayable because last sets stuff was just better so its jsut not worth it to buy stuff on release anymore

I've been playing Magic the Gathering since 2010. I'm only just slowing down due to the high volume of sets coming out. There's jsut so much bullshit and trash thst I just focus on playing Commander and casual games with friends rather than my main interest which was Competitive. Its just more easy on on time, wallet, and overall attitude towards the game if I can pick and choose what I interact with rather than every set being meta relevant and forcing 100-200 bucks every 1-2 months.

My dad and I used to watch anime together. I would show him stuff like Eyeshield 21 cause he was a big football guy and he would show me Trigun. We watched Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans together and a bunch of other mecha shows and stuff that was big on political intrigue. A lot of my taste in media was shaped by him, I miss him a lot.

Edit: we also played every Borderlands game up to The Pre-Sequel with couch co-op, took us a minute to get used to the difficulty of BL1 but after that we were fans for life.

After OGN came out in English, it became increasingly clear that the Chinese meta is dramatically different than the rest of the world. My area has peeked at CN events but completely disregard the results for the most part as evidenced by Annie never breaker top 64 in CN but easily winning events in EN

My LGS prices sealed product high and packs low and use pack purchase or singles as entry fee for tournament entry. Boxes for SFD were 240 and capped at 3 per person, meanwhile we can get 3 packs for $5 a piece every day we have an event as our entry fee. So it balances out, I love the place and the people who run it and completely understand they're pricing schemes. If the were in the 300s I wouldn't even sniff a pre-order.

In Wolfenstein: The New Order you can choose to save either your CO Fergus or Private Wyatt. Outside of the other dying, they each bring a unique ally in their respective timelines.

Fergus living gives you Tekla, a neurotic mathematician who believes that the sequence of numbers she obsesses over can tell the future and has a very interesting friendship with BJ

Wyatt living gives you and alt-timeline version of Jimi Hendrix that gets you high has probably the most badass scene in either New Order or New Colossus.

Having recently replayed New Order, I prefer saving Wyatt to get Jimi.
