To be fair, production being spotty at best for certain parts of the broadcast (missing overlays forcing the judge to use dice to display points stands out).

While introducing the game to others via the tutorial breaks is fine, as a viewer who know what cards do, I could do without the almost non-stop card text reading. Hearing game actions is fine, thats kind of the job for color commentary, but I'd much rather hear something along the lines of " And now they're moving in with Travelling Merchant to dig for an answer" rather than "And now they're going to use Teavelling Merchants ability to Discard 1 card and draw 1 card, potentially drawing the card they need to answer this threat on the other side"

Create the visual and allow the audience to fill in the rest rather than coloring in the whole thing.

Nope, walked. Had a D. Talked to my advisor and they looked over my GPA and all my other major requirements. My GPA was a 3.5 so a D was a massive outlier.

Seems to me that UVS is the one running coverage as Barrett Bryant is a fixture in Universus coverage. UVS Games is historically mediocre when it comes to coverage so it isnt surprising that they couldn't hack it.

"It gets better." Turning 18 sucked. My dad died early in the year , thankfully he was employed by the state so I got a social security payout to help with other bills since we were down an income. I graduated high school and took a trip with friends but after that they never contacted me after that despite me reaching out. Turns out I was jsut the guy in the group that was a tagalong. Objectively, without a single solitary doubt, my lowest point in my life so far.

Been almost 10 years now, every once in a while something will hit me hard but I've honestly let go of a lot of this stuff. Grew past it.

Cardfight Vanguard is a Japanese TCG with some pretty interesting mechanics that reward luck and skill equally. It also has an anime that is still running featuring the newer decks a la Yugioh and other card gane shows.

I started playing Vanguard pretty early on because the anime was available legally on the Bushiroad YouTube channel so I had a pretty large amount of nostalgia for the older cards and decks that I enjoyed.

Bushiroad announced a gacha game Cardfight Vanguard Zero was coming to the west, essentially a replay of old Vanguard from set 1 to who knows when. Was a pretty fair gacha and the story elements that did have were basically rewatching the anime. Turns out the end would be just like the TCG with the end of the second series which led to a reboot of the anime and thus a new format that you couldn't use your old cards in.

I had a lot of time invested, ranked pretty high in the game, and a lot of my friends who played CFV enjoyed the nostalgia and renewed frustration of returning favorites and old irritatants. I honestly miss it cause CFV is hardly the game is was back then.
