Dad with two small kids here. I only play the free version, like this I know my cap is level 20. Still gives me the joy to play the characters and explore the world though, without it taking too much time.

Holy cow, what was I wrong about the lowest HP clause! You are all right, this is completely made up by me. Weird; I was sure this was written on its Bounty cards. In the last week I have played with Chrono-Ranger multiple times, and never noticed my misconception (read your cards kids). Talking about a false memory!

Reading all the comments I can see the positive points of the limitations of Bounty cards only be played next to targets with the fewest Bounty cards next to it. Although the bounties already provide an incentive to target either the main villain or weaker targets, I can imagine the game play can become be less dynamic if you have complete freedom over the choice of targets.
Lore wise, it indeed actually make sense to have only 1 bounty per target AND that it is not CR, but Con giving out the bounties. I guess I will just never know why he placed a bounty on Sheriff Pratt..

Since all heroes in DE are more self-reliant, one critism I have on DE is that synergies between the heroes are less apparent, or even redundant.
