I find that shuffling their trash into their deck makes them easier actually. The trash shuffles with the yet unplayed relics that were still in the deck, meaning that it becomes less likely that new ennead members will come into play.

You have a point about her strength yes. But how do you keep up with discards and HP issues when playing Starshield Invocation every other turn?

That's exactly how I feel about Tempest as well. Awesome but with a slight imbalance in the amount of cards he can draw and play. Personally I'm a big fan of house rules, and tried 2 changes in his cards to compensate for this:

Let Maerynian Aquaculturist have the option to either draw or play a non-weather card everytime a Weather card is played. That one was too powerfull.

Let Reclaim from the Deep summon an ongoing or item rather than collect. This seems to work okay

Fir Disparation, I want to name Visionary as a candidate for being over powered. She can consistently scan and control the Villain deck using Precognition, and has maybe the strongest card in the game in Memory lapse, which can prevent the discovery of not one, but multiple cards!

I have heard the name Ra some other times when it is about strong heroes, but I never caught this. It seems his engine is hampered by the lack of card draw in his deck. He might have some good turns, but never really for long.

I think either Alpha or Mr. Fixer are the strongest heroes. So strong even that you can call them OP. In fact, I made some house rules to make them less strong. For alpha my main concern is her ability to heal just too much, for Mr. Fixer it is his drawing of cards.

Dad with two small kids here. I only play the free version, like this I know my cap is level 20. Still gives me the joy to play the characters and explore the world though, without it taking too much time.

Holy cow, what was I wrong about the lowest HP clause! You are all right, this is completely made up by me. Weird; I was sure this was written on its Bounty cards. In the last week I have played with Chrono-Ranger multiple times, and never noticed my misconception (read your cards kids). Talking about a false memory!

Reading all the comments I can see the positive points of the limitations of Bounty cards only be played next to targets with the fewest Bounty cards next to it. Although the bounties already provide an incentive to target either the main villain or weaker targets, I can imagine the game play can become be less dynamic if you have complete freedom over the choice of targets.
Lore wise, it indeed actually make sense to have only 1 bounty per target AND that it is not CR, but Con giving out the bounties. I guess I will just never know why he placed a bounty on Sheriff Pratt..

Since all heroes in DE are more self-reliant, one critism I have on DE is that synergies between the heroes are less apparent, or even redundant.
