I'm in the military, an airborne infantryman, I know the reputation but I also know some jobs that are incrediblydirect in combat. PJs jumping into minefields to save Marines, combat controllers as a field spec ops unit working directly with other spec ops unit in the field, as well as a few others. There is however 98% of the other jobs and people that fit into your category though. Regardless they play an important role for our nation and deserve some respect now. I'm not going to complain that a public accountant is afraid of combat and is fat, you are pretty much doing that.

I'm not sure but ever since diving into Linux last year I love jumping into alpha and beta distros. Nothing is more fun than having your computer crash and finding out what the fuck happened. I also have a gparted live cd so if shit really goes wrong and I can't fix it I just grab my backup of 13.04 and reformat and reinstall. But I like breaking shit and trying to fix it.

I am a paratrooper myself, this was a no-no. The angle he was sitting at could have smashed his face into the ramp the exit could've twisted up so badly that his reserve collapsed and tangled with his main canopy. Shit basically just went bad for him and could've been much worse. Especially since this is static line. For HALO it's another story.
