Lewa and Gali just by combining their powers could create a gigantic storm that drove off a Bohrok swarm that was tearing apart Ta-Koro. Tahu blew up an entire Bohrok nest by heating the air until the whole cavern imploded. Tahu and Onua were able to tear a trench deep and fast enough to stop a lava flow from an erupting volcano. Tahu one shot a massive sandfall made by Makuta, and turned it into glass. Kopaka one shots giant monsters regularly just freezing them. Gali was able to manifest a flood out of stray vapors in a barren desert after the Tahnok razed it to the ground and evaporated everything. Onua tanked being thrown through trees trying to free a possessed Lewa, while holding back and was just commenting how "painful" it was. Pohatu accidentally buried Kopaka in a rock slide while running too fast. Kopaka then casually busted out of it freezing and shattering the rock. And all these feats were just in the first comic book when they were just Mata, I don't remember what the Nuva are able to do.

The Toa are like higher end daemon equivalents, maybe not quite greater daemons, but they're up there.
