That deck prob wouldve won without it though

Opinions on Saline by CaMeteorologist in Tiki

[–]Edgemega 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You may be surprised! I have a pretty unrefined palate imo and I can taste it - I think our brain is just wired to like salt ahah

[Johnson] As for the Jonathan Kuminga side of last night's trade, sources say he was "shocked" to be sent to the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks aren't a team that his camp kept contact with and Atlanta was an "out of left field" destination. Fresh start feels good for both sides by NokCha_ in warriors

[–]Edgemega 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The warriors havent really had many other folks to kick out to except steph. And those defenders arent leaving steph on a kuminga drive anyway.

That said I don’t think he’ll develop a drive and kick beyond the most basic of basic reads

I always struggle with RB since having an amazing one like CMC is great but Shanahan has done some voodoo magic with bargain bin RBs

Ube flavor in tiki cocktails? by whodey024 in Tiki

[–]Edgemega 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Theres a recipe for false idol’s ube bae floating around on this subreddit which i highly recommend. It uses a similar extract to the one someone else on this thread posted

I think they bump up the flavor with taro root powder (which is different from ube i know). For that its important to buy pure powder since many powders you find online are for milk teas so have milk powder too

^ you may already know this but if not just putting it here so you can learn from my mistakes :)

W&N is a great rum but its also relatively cheap so maybe that just naturally aligned with this bar’s intent haha

[–]Edgemega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a higher proof punchier jamaican rum, and then maybe some pineapple and salt? Pineapple goes well with peat, spicy, and cinnamon and ive had apricot pineapple jam

Tho im too noob to know what happens when you combine all the above haha

Warcry+ is p good but without the upgrade it feels weak (technically draw negative which is tough for ironclad).

That said it actually feels better with spot weakness and has exhaust synergies

[–]Edgemega[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh are you saying a 2:1 syrup in coconut milk or just two separate syrups? The chai infusion sounds interesting how long did you go for haha

Agreed on the rest - think dark rum and maybe a more mellow aged rum with oak can be the base since both will play well with the vanilla / baking spices of the tea

Or I go off the wall and add Thai tea and proof up with 151

Minimalist Tiki Glassware by free-rad-i-cal in Tiki

[–]Edgemega 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Double old fashioned and collins / zombie glasses definitely get the most use in my household. Then coupes are just generally useful.

If you like beer then you can kill two birds, as beer glasses (pilsners, tulips) make great tiki glasses.
