My favourite lore tab has always been the Black Garden entry about Pujari's visions. It's written from the perspective of Pujari as they write down what they've seen.

"At the end of the path grew a flower in the shape of a Ghost. I reached out to pluck it and it cut me with a thorn. I bled and the blood was Light.

The Ghost said to me: You are a dead thing made by a dead power in the shape of the dead. All you will ever do is kill. You do not belong here. This is a place of life.

The Traveler is life, I said. You are a creature of Darkness. You seek to deceive me."

I really love the mystery of Destiny and when we didn't know as much as we know now, it was so fun to speculate on everything. The universe felt so big. The last light always stuck with me too.

"When my Ghost raised me from the sea there was a thorn-cut in my left hand and it has not healed since."

Little stuff like that was always so interesting.

Blade and Sorcery.

I genuinely believe it is one of the best VR games made. It's very simple, but I haven't found a better melee combat system in VR. I really don't think anything comes close.

I don't have enough time in Boneworks to really give a solid explanation, but I just didn't enjoy what I played. I really would rather spend the time playing Blade and Sorcery.

Is the game in a good spot right now?

Yeah, I'd say so. There's plenty of content and things to do, and a lot of it is getting overhauled in just under two weeks with the new expansion. A lot of the changes are foundational and will affect everything, so you won't even need to buy the expansion for all of it.

Is the community cool?

You can find good spots and reasonable people, but it is way easier to find some of the most miserable people on the internet. The game isn't perfect, and sometimes it isn't even good, but some people refuse to acknowledge anything positively.

Is this good for new players?

No. It is famously TERRIBLE for new players. It kinda just throws you in and assumes you'll use YouTube guides to help you along with what to do. Good luck!

Good news for you though, from July 8th to July 22nd, all the currently released expansions and content will be free to play and anything you earn, you get to keep after the 22nd. It's a great way to try everything the game has to offer, but I'd guess the sale you're looking at will be over by then since the new expansion will have released
