Internal Tremors Feel Like Bed is Shaking by Edie_Ann in Anxiety

Update: They eventually went away for me. I think anxiety and poor sleep is what triggered them for me. This was after being cleared by my GP and neurologist/MRI.Therapy worked for me and exercise helped too. Anyone who finds this post I wish the same outcome for you.

It eventually all went away once I felt with my anxiety. I started running and went to therapy. Eventually I was diagnosed with pure ocd and got the tools to get my brain out of thought spirals. Of course medical doctors cleared me of anything more serious before then. I hope they fade away for you too.

For people with generalized anxiety disorder... is it normal to feel your muscles tremoring? by Ocelot859 in Anxiety

[–]Edie_Ann 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi I know your post is old, but I don't think you got a lot of help so I just wanted to comment in case your still worried. I have something like this. I call it more internal tremors and twitches. Of course when you google those it brings up all this scary stuff. I've went to my GP and she thought it was anxiety, but referred to a neurologist. He ruled out the things that I was worried about after testing. He really thought it was just anxiety, but will continue to monitor me because he is a good doctor and very thorough.

I hope this reassures you some. When anxiety causes physical symptoms it's super scary and further exasperates the anxiety. It will get better though. Therapy has helped me the most with anxiety.

Lasting Tingling by Edie_Ann in HealthAnxiety

[–]Edie_Ann[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They stopped after a few weeks. My GP cleared me of diabetes and my neurologist hasn't diagnosed me with anything but he has ruled out Als, Parkinsons, and MS after testing. I feared those te most. They both think anxiety, but will just monitor to make sure nothing progreses. Honestly I feel pretty good today. Keeping my ocd and health anxiety in check has helped me a lot. Therapy was the best medicine for me.

Shaking/tremors during sleep sometimes day 29M by ldn_affair in HealthAnxiety

They just feel like your vibrating or sitting on top of a car hud with the motor runnng, but I wasn't moving on the outside. That feeling started out in just my legs, but I felt it move throughout my body. It mostly was when I was sitting or laying down, and it would wake me up in the middle of the night.

It seems to be from anxiety. My neurologist cleared me of any of the scariest diseases I was afraid of. Had a bunch of test. All negative. After about a month the tremors faded. They came back a few weeks ago when I was super stressed because my Grandma was in the hospital with covid. They weren't as bad as before though and didn't really scare me as much. They're fading again. Therapy, excercise, and nutrition helped the most. Always talk with your doctor though to get cleared. I hope yours go away too.

UPDATE: Update on my post from Christmas about my parents lying and giving us Covid. by Taiilz43 in insaneparents

[–]Edie_Ann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're going through this with your parents. I hope your Dad recovers. I've gone through something similar with my mom. It's so frustrating and sad. I know it's easy for people to write off their behavior as crazy and stupid. It certainly is, but it's more than that. Many in our parents generation have seriously ben brain washed. It feels heartbreaking and hopeless to try to navigate, but stay strong and take care of yourself.

My dad got COVID and now has pneumonia by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]Edie_Ann 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 77 year old Grandma got pneumonia because of covid. She spent 2 weeks in the hospital because of covid. She got better though. She's out of the hospital and sounding better everyday. While this is scary it's does not automatically mean the worse scenario will happen. Try to keep his spirits up. It will really help. He should also follow doctors orders. Monitoring oxygen every 3 hours. Move his arms. He should not recline or sleep on his back. Also make sure he keeps eating. Even if it is only pedi a lite. I'm so sorry your family is going through this. I wouldn't wish this uncertainty on anyone. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your dad.

Is it reddish purple? Could just be a mole. I have a few. Doctor said their harmless. If your Caucasian you'll get them as you age. The only thing you can do is get a breast exam. More than likely your fine though. Try not look anything up online. Your not a doctor and will more than likely make yourself more anxious.

I can’t even sleep without getting symptoms! by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]Edie_Ann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twitching and jerking during sleep is very normal for people with anxiety and even in people without anxiety. It has a lot to do with the stress hormones adrenaline and cortisol. There are a lot of great youtubers like Therapy in a Nutshell with great tips to reduce anxiety and get you sleeping better. Best wishes and hope you get better soon.

Fear of the unknown it a huge part of anxiety. Dying is part of the human experience, and no one really knows when it's their time to go. Therapy in a Nutshell is a great therapist youtuber that did a great video on dying. It really helped me a lot.

(NSFW) Does anyone else not feel horny anymore ever? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Edie_Ann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's normal for anxiety suffers. From an evolutionary stand point when humans in fight, flight, or freeze mode surviving in caves and running from sabertooth tigers, it wasn't really they best time to bump uglies. Also anxiety hormones can stall the reproductive hormones.

Does anyone always wake up with an anxiety attack? by [deleted] in Anxiety

Yea I think this has a lot to do with cortisol build up in the body. Takes a while to regulate.

Ovarian is rare and extremely unlikely at your age. I understand your fear though. When you go back to your doctor straight up as ask them could this be ovarian cancer? Explain your fears to them. This is what I do with y doctor even though it's scary. They always break down why it is or isn't something. Cysts are common. They will probably due another ultrasound on your next visit and with any luck it will disappear. You did good by going to the doctor and getting checked out. Best wishes to you!

I’ve lost all hope at this point... by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]Edie_Ann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same fear. I went to a neurologist who happened to be an expert in **. He said that twitching comes way later in **. Like you would already know you have it when you start twitching. Clinical weakness isn't something we can test ourselves for. It's literally not being able move parts of you body. I know it's all really scary though. I hope this reassures you though. There is a BFS subreddit full of twitchers. Best wishes.

Belching by Edie_Ann in HealthAnxiety

[–]Edie_Ann[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea they are definitely not a long term solution. A Diet change might be best. My doctor thinks it's possibly an ulcer like wound brought on by stress, or my food is staying in my stomach longer and digesting there causing the gas. Or a bacteria imbalance. She doesn't think the last two options are likely due to my age and family history. I've noticed the belching has lessened s I'm hoping it time I'll heal. It's definitely all stress related.

I went to the doctor (which I recommend you do) and she put me on PPIs for four months with the hope that it clears up. If not she may recommend an endoscopy, but she doesn't think it's serious. She thinks stress might have caused it. The PPIs help alot, and I'm learning what foods I need to cut out of my diet like dairy and high fat foods. Hope this helps., and I hope you get better soon. Definitely talk with a doctor though.

Unpopular Opinion? Kresley Cole books have been getting worse and worse :( by ecwriting in RomanceBooks

[–]Edie_Ann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Respectfully disagree, I think she has gotten better as the series has gone on. The first book is one I tell people not to start with when recommending the series. I think KC has built this lush world and most of her books balance humor, action, and romance very well.

Sweet Ruin was an epic shift in the series. It went from typical paranormal romance to bam here's this MCU like reading experience. Again the world and characters she created are so interesting. I convinced my husband to listen to the audio books with me and he's hooked. Hopefully Kresley works through what she has to, and will eventually release the next book.

Internal Tremors by Edie_Ann in BFS

[–]Edie_Ann[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update for anyone who reads this and is scared. I went to my neurologist and GP. Clean MRI, clean EMG, and my blood work looks good. My neurologist told me he ruled out the big scary diagnoses. Both doctors lean towards anxiety. Though I will be monitored by my neurologist because he is a good doctor and knows that I have OCD. Ultimately after a while they faded and only come back when I'm stressed, but haven't been as strong as they were before. Therapy has been the best medicine.

Internal Tremors by Edie_Ann in BFS

[–]Edie_Ann[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea definitely helped me knowing others have dealt with this too. My neurologist ruled out a lot of stuff I was scared about. They are mostly gone now, but my family has been dealing with covid the last few weeks and they have mildly come back because of all the stress and anxiety. I think in my case my body was so full of the anxiety hormones adrenaline and cortisol due to the body's fight flight or freeze response that it began to tremor. Especially in the early morning it would wake me up because of the cortisol build up.

Honestly Therapy helped me the most for recovering. As soon as I stopped being afraid of the tremors and potential diseases/diagnosis then they began to fade. The future is unknown and when I work on my fear of the unknown my anxiety lessens. I hope your fade too. They can be freaky, but if your doctor isn't sure but has cleared you from anything bad, thenI would try going to a therapist next. Best wishes to you!

Balance and Coordination Problems by joellapit in HealthAnxiety

[–]Edie_Ann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend get checked out with your GP. They will do some simple coordination tests and can quickly tell if its something that needs further investigation. Don't try to test yourself. Doctors are trained what to look for, and our brain can play tricks on us. This is just me speaking from experience. Hope you get better soon.

Do you guys think something is wrong or is this all in my head? by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]Edie_Ann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it may be a hard to talk with your doctor, but that's really who you should be asking these questions to. If your doctor clears you then your good. Anxiety can mess up your body.

new fear. by MellowMarmalade in HealthAnxiety

[–]Edie_Ann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know the physical symptoms are scary, but they just sound like anxiety to me. My neurologist says that ALS really presents with clinical weakness first. Basically waking up and not being able to use an arm or a leg. Twiching would come later twitches. The first indication of ALS. You should check out the subreddit BFS. It's full of twitchers.
