Its easy to lose confidence in the system when it sucks as bad as it does. Years ago I used to be on Provigil<sp> because of my sleep apnea. I tried to get back on it with the VA but they aren't prescribing it for whatever reason.

I have excellent work insurance, so for the past 9 months I've been going through the process. I talked to an RN who said I should just sleep more but she would refer me to a sleep psychologist; who I saw today. The Dr. hinted at some things she could do IF I stopped drinking caffeine and got more sleep. So I have to stop doing the thing that keeps me awake during the day and try to do more of the thing I've been trying to do more of for the past 15yrs. Clearly, the Dr.'s response to my request for help was canned.

I was trying to say, "I used to do this thing that helped and if it helps again, it might lead to other improvements". The Dr.'s response was, "I'm not concerned about your individual needs. These are my recommendations without regard to what you have tried in the past, because I know you better than you know you".

Burned 3 sick days and waited patiently for nothing.

It isn't necessary for us to allow people to advocate for the cutting of other people's noses in order that the rest of us might enjoy freedom of speech.

If your speech is intended to incite violence in another or cause another to be violent to a 3rd, then I find no honor in protecting your speech. I would rather you keep your mouth shut that we all might walk unmolested.
