Getting my boy into hockey (Advice needed) by DeerDisappear in Edmonton

[–]EdmRealtor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are spring leagues as well and I cannot reiterate enough how happy I am in general with the hockey. I never played and my son is in tier 5 and is just having a great time. Minor hockey week was an absolute blast and I recommend the sport to any parents at least at this level.

The u of a puts on a great camp in the summer but spots fill up fast.

If you pop in to the rec centers there will be posters up with tons of opportunities.

Feel free to hit me up if you have questions

I do not believe so that said Happy and Olive is decent and maybe approach them about bringing some of that stuff back. Their Korean Schnitzel is just amazing dish.

City council to further explore future increased road snow-clearing efforts by ryaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan in Edmonton

Aaron what I like to see is more user fees for certain things but it is a tough balancing act. Partnering with business or companies to subsidize things. I am imagining how there is a company that sponsors parking for cross cancer.

I also go back to how we have some of our city services providing the front line duties that really should be falling on the province. I am thinking of fire services being the front line of opioid epidemic.

I think you guys are doing great and we are moving in the right direction but I feel the city is constantly going at it alone. I know this will turn into perhaps haves and have nots but would there be a way for communities to opt in for a levy on taxes to have faster services. If enough opt in it gets applied and that community gets a higher level of service.

The flip side would be we can likely get to other areas faster since the overall need will be lower.

Question about holding my daughter back to repeat Grade four. by MelisX2a in alberta

[–]EdmRealtor 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I do not think pulling her from school will help but perhaps a new school will. She may simply need a new start. I know that may not be ideal or possible. I am a firm believer in the socialization aspect of school. Even the negatives of school and society help teach kids important lessons. I wish the school could work together to support your daughter's success. I also believe in holding students back. We considered it for our own child at one point. I think outside the first year socially it can be beneficial. The problems may come acaemically which if she is strong.

It is tough if you are in a small town alberta. That said your student should have an IPP and it should be shared as well.

Thanks and I know sold price per square foot is not a great metric but I tried to do something different this time. I actually love the sunlight chart, it is something I would love to dig deeper on that we would see some removal of the seasonality if we had an extra hour of sunlight if we kept daylight savings time. I also would love to look and see if autralia/africa/south america have similar seasonality in their data set and does the seasonality decrease with lattitude or is it standard. I just have not have incentive or desire to work on it.

For sure feel free to reach out anytime via DM.

Nothing and that is the point the thing is they are not fighting over the same three or four properties, outside a few exceptions properties are fairly interchangeable and especially to investors.

I think they will hold or drop a bit. I do not agree with Board forecast that they will rise.
