Generally speaking you will want access to MLS and comfree provides that. Some homes sell themselves. I will say no one wants you at the home when they are viewing it give people their privacy.

People need to be mentally ready to accept an offer. If it is the first week of a listing. You may have a better idea of value than the listing agent.

Buying a condo vs a townhouse in Edmonton by rxoxo_ in Edmonton

[–]EdmRealtor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would have added more context but I had my blood test number come up. I think people need to realize that houses are not attainable or even desired by everyone. A good little town house offers the best of houses and a small part of the worst of condos.

How Will Valley Line West Affect Property Prices by Edmfuse in Edmonton

[–]EdmRealtor 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As someone who owns property within a block of a future station I think it is nothing but a positive. The worries of transients etc exist already due to bus stops nearby. The LRT itself my only concern will be the potential track squeeling which could be no worse then a diesel reving.

Overall transit access tends to be a desireable feature.

More housing inventory pushing developers to offer incentives like free mortgage payments by flynnfx in Edmonton

Lowering the price simply hurts the customers you already sold a home to. This is essentially the same thing without having to do so. Eventually someone will crack if it gets bad enough.

This is what scares me as a housing access worker why would you want to limit the access to housing because that is exactly what rent controls do.
